Title | : | A Study on The Co-Relation Between Job Satisfaction And Empowerment, Involvement, Loyalty of B-School Teachers In The City of Mumbai |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Rajesh Mankani |
Abstract: The commonly held opinion is that "A satisfied worker is a productive worker". A satisfied work force will create a pleasant atmosphere within the organization to perform well. Hence job satisfaction becomes a major area of research in B-Schools. There are many factors which contribute towards enhancing the job satisfaction. Monetary needs are of course foremost. But coupled with them, there are other attributes which contribute to raising the level of job satisfaction – two of them being Empowerment & Involvement While Employee empowerment may be influenced by the perception that the organization cares about its employees' well-being and that their work is valued, Job involvement may be more about how individuals relate to their current jobs and less about their relationships with their employers............

Title | : | A Study on Employee Engagement In A Private Sector Bank |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Prof. Rangana Maitra |
Abstract: In today's volatile market scenario wherein employees are loyal to the profession and not to the organization they are associated with; are having many choices, many options. Employee- retention is a significant and crucial issue that any organisation is focusing on as it can provide the competitive edge. Also only retention is not enough. Employees need to give their hundred percent outputs for the survival and growth of the organisation. To attain these two objectives, employees need to be engaged in the work set up. As a matter of fact employee engagement is no more a mere HR initiative -- it is a strategic foundation for leading the business in the desired direction. The result of Gallup survey indicates that engaged employees are more productive, more customer-focused, safer, and retention rate is higher. Therefore engaged employees can create a high performing organisation and thus provide an organisation a competitive edge.............

Title | : | Groping The Stimulus of Leadership on Creative Performance Behaviours of Employees Employed In R&D Departments |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Lalita Mutreja |
Abstract: Research and Development Department is the thrust of any organization. It acts as catalyst in this competitive world where the entire globe is a single market. Being the main source of innovation and breakthroughs, this department is highly vulnerable and uncertain. This is so because the outcomes may or may not result into radical implications. Due to this ambiguity, distinctiveness and intrinsically indefinite nature of R&D department these units must be managed differently from other departments of an organization. Assessing the key forces which impact the creativeness of the human resources in this department carries vital credentials. Further this department is often kept aloof from HR department of the organization due to complexity of its performance appraisal and low head count (1% of the total employees)............

Title | : | A Study of Innovative Business Practices In The Organizations With Special Reference To Talent Management And Other HRM Practices |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Prof. Sandeep Surange || Dr. Hiresh Luhar |
Abstract: Innovation means replacing the best practices of today with that of tomorrow- (Paul Sloane) Innovation is at the core of the development in 21st century. The saying "perform or perish" has been replaced by "Innovate or Perish". Organizations worldwide are working hard on strengthening their Creative skills and come out with products that set the benchmark in Innovation. However the good news is that Innovation can be learnt and practiced. This is possible by creating a culture of innovation and Lifelong learning in the organization. The same has been proved time and again by Silicon Valley firms that if you want to be the leader than you have to be really innovative. Companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Air BnB and Amazon are few examples where it all started with a thought and they build an enterprise with quick adaptation to the latest technologies. They were the pioneers in the category and had both willingness and muscles to take their competition head on. Innovation coupled with Strategic thinking made Apple the most valuable brand within a few years of its inception...............

Title | : | Automation of Irrigation Monitoring Using Artificial Neural Network |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Manoj Singh || Swati Vitkar |
Abstract: Water is an important resource in the earth for irrigation, so irrigation technique is essential for agriculture. In our country farmers are not following proper irrigation techniques. Currently, most of the irrigation scheduling systems and their corresponding automated tools are in fixed rate. Irrigation is not only essential for the improvement of irrigation system but also to save water resource for future purpose. Intelligent control system based on Artificial Neural Network is used for effective irrigation scheduling in paddy fields. The input parameters like air, temperature, soil moisture, radiations and humidity are modeled. Evapotranspiration and various growing stages of crops are considered and based on that the amount of water required for irrigation is estimated. Agriculture aims to provide good quality and high yield efficiently with less labor on limited lands. Taking advantages of industrial production methods and modern engineering techniques, facility agriculture makes a good use of the climate, soil and biological potential of fields to provide a controllable and suitable environment for plants so as to increase the productivity. Thus the prerequisite step of agriculture is monitoring the farming environment effectively.................

Abstract: Media rights in sporting leagues has come a long way in the global scenario in general and India in particular. The Olympic Games were first televised in Berlin in 1936 and broadcast to an estimated 162,000 people using just three cameras, only one of which was capable of live transmission. Just over 75 years later, thanks to major advances in broadcast technology, an estimated 4.8 billion viewers were able to tune into seamless coverage of the 2012 London Olympic Games in high definition and 3-D formats, along with a dazzling array of angles, effects and tools to view and review every detail of the event. Fancy this – in 1992 the BCCI paid Doordarshan Rs. 5 lakh to broadcast its matches on their network and today it stands to earn $8.47 million per IPL match courtesy..............
