Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr.A.A.Attarwala || Prof.C.S.Balasubramaniam |
Abstract: In the process of financial intermediation, banks face risks of different kinds which are financial and non –financial viz., credit, interest rate, foreign exchange rate, liquidity, equity price, legal, regulatory, reputational, operational etc. These risks are highly interdependent and events that affect one area of risk can have ramifications for a range of other risk categories. Thus, top management of the banks should attach considerable importance to improve the ability to identify measure, monitor and control the overall level of risks undertaken. For the purpose of risk management, banks also create suitable organizational structure and process which directly reports to top management in the bank.

Diversity on all fronts is the key challenge in deciding development patterns. Development henceforth will be referred to as sustainable development. Maharashtra a leading state in India has witnessed different development experience concentrated within few areas, precisely urban places. Political economy of Maharashtra state has important dynamics of Regional Imbalance, coastal area excluding Mumbai Metropolitan region has lagged behind. Abstract: Poverty eradication cannot be done by distribution of existing wealth, but by creation of new wealth- Narayan Murthy. Stock markets have always been looked upon as speculators paradise and never as a source of wealth creation. To add to the agony, Derivatives have only increased the pain of the retail investors and kept them away from markets. This study is an attempt to prove that wealth creation can be done with the help of Derivatives.

Title | : | To study supply chain management practices and the performance of marketing channels for fresh fruit and vegetable in Madhya Pradesh |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Anurag Shrivastava |
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate how alternative supply chain management practices adopted by leading supermarkets engaged in fresh fruit and vegetable marketing in Navi Mumbai impact on the performance of the supply chain. We investigate on-going changes in the supply chain using information from leading supermarkets and related players. The information sheds light on how the new supply chain management policies and procedures have affected the cost structures, long-term profitability and organizational viability of the system. The emergence of supermarkets over the last decade or so has profoundly influenced Madhya Pradesh fresh fruit and vegetable marketing system, and the trend is expected to continue into the foreseeable future. The efforts of profit-motivated supermarket giants to sustain a very competitive market have altered traditional production and marketing channels. Evidence suggests that the supermarkets are competing to adopt a range of management strategies to offer quality products, a wider choice, reduced wastage, greater value for money and shorter, but more effective supply chains. The impact of supermarkets on global and local supply chains, and its implications for actors in the supply chains has received much attention in recent years. This research study will utilize standard performance measures to compare performance of competing supply chains including: (i) Satisfaction of stakeholders (supermarkets); (ii) Price performance (profitability); (iii) Labour employment; and, (iv) Efficiency (price stability, timely delivery of orders, quality management). Information will be collected though a series of interviews with the appropriate personnel in the supermarkets concerned and their supply chain partners.

Title | : | Study of Customers' Satisfaction with respect to leading Mobile Service Providers in Telecom Industry |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Shalini Wadhwa |
Abstract: The present study concentrates on the level of customers' satisfaction with respect to leading service providers in the telecom industry. Leading service providers Airtel, Vodafone, Docomo and Idea are chosen for the purpose of this study. It is observed that people switch the service providers very often due to several reasons. It may be because they are not satisfied with the present company. The dissatisfaction may be due to several factors like price, customer service, or better network, less activation time, more value added services, flexibility in changing various plans offered like individual plans, group plans, single plan for various data services, plans with different usage and talk rates etc. It is also a perception that as and when new plans are introduced by the companies, these lucrative sales promotion offers lead to switching over of the service providers. Therefore, it is important to know how satisfied the customers are with their present provider and the type of connection they have viz. post-paid or pre-paid.
