Abstract:Tourism is travelling for predominantly recreational or leisure purposes with a view to enhancing
the knowledge and widening the wisdom of an individual. Tourism in today's world is no more a luxury or mere
sight seeing. This has been made possible by the recent advances in transportation and information technology,
which has enabled tourists to reach even the remotest parts of the earth by spending much less. Tourism in
India was seen as a mere service sector for a long time. It has now been recognized as an export industry due
to its multiple advantages. Though Tourism gained importance belatedly, it has grown at a rapid pace and
enhanced its share in international tourist arrivals as well as in foreign exchange earnings. In recent years,
tourism has become a priority sector in the State. This is reflected in higher budget allocations, growing
partnership efforts between the public and private sectors, increased tourist arrivals, vibrant and vigorous
promotion efforts, etc. the emphasis is to make Tourism a mass movement and a prime mover for promoting
entrepreneurship, poverty reduction and economic development. The department of Tourism, Government of
India has been assisting the states for the development of tourist infrastructure through the central financial
assistance schemes. The far-sighted approach of creating affordable infrastructure, exploring new markets and
focused marketing have contributed to sustained growth as far as Tamil Nadu is concerned.

Title | : | Situational And Contingency Theories Of Leadership: Are They The Same |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Dr (Mrs.) Otaroghene Peretomode |

Abstract: This paper is a positional, theoretical paper that explains comprehensively the all powerful but
ambiguous concept of leadership, highlights its features and the categorization of its major theoretical
approaches. It distinguishes clearly the two categorizations that neophytes and even scholars often used
interchangeable as if both are the same. These broad categories are the situational and contingency theories of
leadership. This distinction, it is believed, enables students to understand clearly the theories under each
category but more importantly, it helps officials in Ministries of Education in developing countries to act most
appropriately in a timely manner in intervening in worsening school administration with success in view.

Abstract:Rural credit cooperative system in India is world's largest rural financial systems. During the past
over hundred years, these credit cooperatives have witnessed many successes and failures. For a long time,
cooperatives have been plagued by numerous problems such as undue government interference, poor
governance and management, high overdues and lack of deposits, financial indiscipline and accumulating nonperforming
assets. In response to that, a nationwide reform and revival exercise was initiated by the
Government of India in 2004. This paper examines the important features and strategies of these reforms in
short-term rural credit cooperatives in India..

Abstract:The present paper assesses the social and economic situation of people living in Chhattisgarh and
the factors responsible for their migration to other towns and cities in search of better livelihood and better
quality of life. The study of internal migration assumes special importance in any state in the process of
development. By its very nature internal migration, that is the movement of people across smaller units within
the state, is related to a process of change occurring within the social system. Migration is an important feature
of human civilization. It reflects, human endeavor to survive in the most testing conditions both natural and
manmade. Migration in India is in existence historically. In Chhattisgarh, counter insurgency measures such as
the creation of a popular movement to resist naxalist groups, Salwa Judum, has led to the forcible displacement
of people throughout Bhairamgarh, Geedam Bijapur areas, under police and administrative supervision.
According to official estimates approximately 15,000 people from 420 villages are living as refugees in
temporary camps. People have left behind their cattle and most of their household goods..
