Abstract: This paper proposes an approach to solve the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) problem with an aim to enhancing the power system reliability. A Newton-based optimal power flow (OPF) is developed for implementation into a power system simulation environment. The OPF performs all system control while maintaining system security. System controls include generator megawatt outputs, transformer taps, and transformer phase shifts, while maintenance of system security ensures that no power system component's limits are violated. Special attention is paid to the heuristics important to creating an OPF which achieves solution in a rapid manner. Finally, sample applications of the OPF are discussed..............

Abstract: Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been seen as one of the most promising technologies for future displays. A number of materials have been developed and improved in order to fulfil the requirements of this application. The materials differ from one another by their structure but also by the mechanism involved in the electroluminescence produced (fluorescence versus phosphorescence). When properly stacked, these materials result in a device that can achieve the required high efficiency and long lifetime. Opto-electronic devices using organic materials are becoming widely desirable for manifold reasons. In fact, organic devices have the potential for cost advantages over inorganic devices.........

Abstract: Agriculture technology is changing rapidly. This paper deals with design of solar based auto irrigation system. This system consists of solar powered water pump along with an automatic water flow control using a moisture sensor. It is the proposed solution for the present energy crisis for the Indian farmers. This system conserves electricity by reducing the usage of grid power and conserves water by reducing water losses.

Abstract: This paper presents a review on the unified power quality conditioner. Power system consists of complex networks, where many generating stations are interconnected to load center via long power transmission and distribution networks. Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) module is a small electronic circuit used to transmit, receive, or transceiver a radio waves on one of a number of carrier frequencies. Abstract: The project is intended to detect the location of fault in underground cable lines from the base station to exact location in kilometers using an Arduino micro controller kit. In the urban areas, the electrical cable runs in undergrounds instead of overhead lines. Whenever the fault occurs in underground cable it is difficult to detect the exact location of the fault for process of repairing that particular cable. The proposed system finds the exact location of the fault. This system uses an Arduino micro controller kit and a rectified power supply. Here the current sensing circuits made with a combination of resistors are interfaced to Arduino micro controller kit to help of the internal ADC device for providing digital data to the microcontroller representing the cable length in kilometers. The fault creation is made by the set of switches. The relays are controlled by the relay driver.

Abstract: Security and safety is one of the most verbalized of topics in virtually every facet like surveillance, industrial applications, offices, and in general, in perspicacious environments. In this paper we design an home and industrial embedded surveillance system which estimates the development of a Low-cost security system utilizing Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) and microcontroller. The design of simple hardware circuit enables every utilizer to utilize this wireless home security system with PIR sensor, Smoke sensor, current sensor and temperature sensor at Home & Industries.

Abstract: S-transform, which is a powerful time frequency analysis method, has found applications in diverse areas of science and technology. S-transform is a time-frequency spectral localization technique that combines elements of wavelet transform (WT) and Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT). It is a generalized form of the Gabor transformation where the width of the Gaussian window scales inversely and the height of the window scales linearly with frequency. Abstract: Load growth and the attendant need for interconnection for reliability of supply systems results increase in system fault levels. There is a compelling need to devise solutions to prevent the ratings of equipment such as circuit breakers being exceeded. An attractive solution would be an introduction of fault current limiting devices in the power grids. Fault Current Limiters (FCL) seems to be cost-effective and reliable fault current limiter technology across a broad spectrum of utility systems. Traditional approaches to managing fault currents are complex and expensive. By adding FCLs, utilities can lengthen the service life of equipment and cost-effectively expand generation while improving the resiliency of the overall network.

Abstract: Distributed generation (DG) is commonly used to supply the local loads. The penetration of distributed generation leads to violating the relay coordination in the distribution network. The interconnection of DG affects miscoordination of distribution system protection, because of the generator ability to contribute large fault currents to the fault point. The impact of DG on relay coordination affect the operating time of relay. The CTI associated with primary and backup relay pairs is getting violated due to changes in fault current level. Thus, coordination between primary and backup relays fails in the presence of distributed Generation.................

Abstract: This paper is used to control the speed of the induction motor. The speed control of Induction Motor is simple and can be made economical by using different methods to control the operation of Cyclo-converter which in turn controls the performance of motor. The speed of the motor can be varied in two ways, one is by changing the number of poles and the second method is by changing the frequency. The speed control through the first method is uneconomical and the number of poles can't be varied under running conditions and the size of the machine also becomes bulky................

Abstract: Motion control is necessary phenomenon necessary in large scale in industrial and domestic environment. Hence dc series motor along with chopper is widely used for variable speed demand and sophisticated operation. So, to determine the steady state and dynamic behavior is plays an important role. The visual basic software interpretation is one of easy way which acts as its analyzing tool. The transient response of the chopper fed motor is obtained by considering a small in the duty interval and in the load. Hence operation of four quadrant dc chopper that can be use of many application. The paper describe approximation which permit the derivation of simple but accurate analyzing methods for analysis of dc series motor fed by chopper with pulse width control using visual basic software tool.

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to study the reliability aspects of a practical transmission and generation system.
