Abstract: This paper discusses protection of transmission lines by detecting line faults using time frequency transformation. Initially the electrical signal is processed with a new time frequency transformation known as s-transform. Here the instantaneous power is taken as input and transformation is applied on it. After getting frequency information, an energy profile is calculated, which is used as fault detection index.

Abstract: Direct Torque Control (DTC) is the first technology to control the "real" motor control variables of torque and flux. It is a control method that gives an excellent torque response for A.C Drives. This paper provides an approach about the Fuzzy logic control (FLC) based Space Vector Modulation (SVM), on the direct torque controlled Induction Motors and aim of the approach is to overcome high torque ripple disadvantages of PI based Space Vector Modulation. Proposed method gives an optimum flux and torque ripple at steady state condition and fast dynamic torque response.

Abstract: In this paper we explore some simple experiments involving homemade sea- water batteries that are not only instructive, but which can be used to drive low-power devices.The concept evolved for basic way of producing energy and converts that into electrical energy by burning metals and gets electricity (or electrical energy) by a condition for oxidation which by itself is the same as slow burning. This paper explores the electrochemistry behind an air battery using copper cathode, aluminum anode, and saltwater. If we have exact solution of saltwater and some metals we were able to generate small voltage.

Abstract: Reactive power variations, due to non linear loads, are the cause for most of the power quality issues. Insufficient reactive power causes Voltage Sag, as well as excess reactive power causes the Swell. To control the voltage to a desired value, regulation of reactive power is required. There is an existing approach known as UPFC for the improvement of voltage profile. In this paper a novel intelligent control scheme is proposed for the improvement of voltage profile of a 4 bus system.For proper control of reactive power a new D-FACTS device, DPFC is used. First, Conventional PI controller is used for the controlling action of DPFC connected to a load bus. To improve the efficiency of controlling action of DPFC, Neuro controller is used. The addition of Neuro controller with the DPFC improves the Voltage Profile in a better way. The entire circuit is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK.

Abstract: The quasi-Z source cascaded multilevel inverter presents remarkable advantages in application to photovoltaic (PV) system. Each PV panel is connected to a quasi-Z-source H-bridge inverter to form a power generation module. The paper proposes design analysis and efficient closed loop control for quasi- Z-source cascaded multilevel inverter based PV system. The distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for all PV modules produce balanced dc-link peak voltage. A novel space vector modulation for the integration of shoot through states synthesize a stepped output voltage waveform of quasi-Z-source inverters. The closed loop control voltage ensures a high quality waveform to the grid. Simulation of cascaded multilevel quasi-Z-source inverter for PV system is carried out to verify the results of the above proposed concepts using MATLAB/Simulink.

Abstract: Wireless sensor networks changed the future technology. The Object tracking in sensornetworks became a prominent issue. Due to data mining is an interdisciplinary concept, which can be identified and solved by using data mining mechanisms. In this paper we used the features of data mining algorithms to find object locations in wireless sensor networks. The objective of this paper is to track object based on its previous frequent pattern movements. We also focused on the issues of energy efficiency and accuracy ofthe tracking. The association rules also used for excavated other ingredients of object tracking application such as locations, paths etc. Finally, we have used apriori algorithm for mining association rules then applied to object tracking in sensor networks. Finally our work may show good results than the existing in terms of efficient usage of energy and accuracy of tracking

Abstract: People of the world are in need to find and develop new sources of energy to power their lives.Owing to the increasing demand for electrical energy, world's fossil fuel supply will thus be depleted in a few decades.Hence, alternative or renewable sources of energy have to be developed to meet the future energy requirement.Grid connected wind capacity is undergoing through fastest rate ofgrowth compared to any other form of renewable power generation, achieving global annual growth rates of 20–30 %. Abstract: This paper presents unipolar pulse width modulation technique with sinusoidal sampling and Space vector pulse width modulation are analyzed for three-phase Diode clamped multi-level inverter from the point of view of the Phase voltages, currents, voltage across the split capacitors and Total harmonic distortion. The necessary calculations for generation of PWM for the two modulation strategies have presented in detail. It is observed that the unipolar modulation ensures excellent,close to optimized pulse distributionresults but THD is high compared to SVPWM. Theoretical investigations were confirmed by the digital simulations using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

Abstract: A Fuzzy logic controller based Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) is proposed in this paper to estimate the speed of an Induction Motor. In order to Implement Field oriented Control of an Induction Motor it require sensors like current sensor, voltage sensor and Speed sensor, use of such sensors will add additional cost. In the proposed paper efforts are made to eliminate the speed sensor. The proposed work is implemented in MATLAB/simulink and results are displayed in this paper.

Abstract: Now-a-days, the main energy supplier of the worldwide economy is fossil fuel. However it has led to many problems such as global warming and air pollution. Therefore, with regard to the worldwide trend of green energy, renewable energy has become most promising energy resource. In order to supply more efficient, reliable, resilient and responsive electric power, micro grid will integrate main power grid and renewable energy resources. Abstract: For very high voltage gain of a Photo-Voltaic system, this paper proposed a buck-boost inverter of single stage. DCM (Discontinuous conduction mode) and MPPT (maximum power point tracking) is employed to get one power factor. Minimization of switching losses is employed with only two switches and operated at very high frequency. Easy control capability, optimum size, affordable cost with high voltage gain made the system employable. AC voltage conversion is achieved along with boosting of DC voltage of Photo-Voltaic system of inverter. Obstacle shadow variations also reduced by means of having the possibility of reduced series connected modules; this ability is due to the high voltage gain. Since the proposed design has the two buck boost converter each one operates for only one half cycle and the Discontinuous conduction mode operates at unit power factor. Simulation results assure the proposed idea of the single stage interleaved inverter for high voltage gain applications.

Abstract: In distribution systems, sudden change in load draws non-sinusoidal currents and causes the load harmonics, excessive neutral currents creates disturbance and changes in Power factor. Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) is used to provide reactive power to the transmission line. In this paper proposes with Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) to tune PI controller gain values under different operating condition. Tuned values operate with PI controller and provides gate signal to voltage source converter which decides amount of reactive power to be injected into bus. Power factor value also improved. This method not affected by the initial gain settings, changes of system conditions and produces better and desired response. By providing reactive power and power factor correction system performance increased and also improves voltage regulation. Abstract: Load frequency control problem is considered as one of the mostimportant issues in the design &operation of power systems. Due to lack of goodefficiency in parameters variation conditions, working conditions of system andnon-linear factors, a simple PI controller is not suitable in industrial applications.Instead, fuzzy controllers can be used in order to enhance the performances of thesystems. In this paper, the use of the optimized type-1 fuzzy logic controller usingParticle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed to solve the loadfrequencycontrol problem.

Abstract: This paper presents a power factor corrected (PFC) bridgeless (BL) buck–boost converter-fed brushless direct current (BLDC) motor drive as a cost-effective solution for low-power applications. An approach of speed control of the BLDC motor by controlling the dc link voltage of the voltage source inverter (VSI) is used with a single voltage sensor. This facilitates the operation of VSI at fundamental frequency switching by using the electronic commutation of the BLDC motor which offers reduced switching losses. A BL configuration of the buck–boost converter is proposed which offers the elimination of the diode bridge rectifier, thus reducing the conduction losses associated with it.

Abstract: This paper proposes an adaptive proportional integral-derivative (PID) speed control scheme for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. The proposed controller consists of three control terms: a decoupling term, a PID term, and a supervisory term. The first control term is employed to compensate for the nonlinear factors, the second term is made to automatically adjust the control gains, and the third one is designed to guarantee the system stability. Different from the offline-tuning PID controllers, the proposed adaptive controller includes adaptive tuning laws to online adjust the control gains based on the gradient descent method. Thus, it can adaptively deal with any system parameter uncertainties in reality. The proposed scheme is not only simple and easy to implement, but also it guarantees an accurate and fast speed tracking. It is proven that the control system is asymptotically stable. To confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, the comparative experiments between the proposed adaptive PID controller and the conventional PID controller are performed on the PMSM drive.

Abstract: In recent years insufficient energy became greatest hurdle for consumers and generating station due to Scarcity of non-renewable energies, block outs in plants, improper production and supply of requirements Production and supply of energy became a challenging aspect for power Generation, distribution and transmission operators. With the considerations of above a grid connected supply which supported by a Renewable energy source –wind is used to a non-linear load. To obtain power quality here we used a AC-AC link with rectifier and 4-Leg inverter operation at a point of common coupling (PCC).
