Title | : | Do the GDP, Budget Deficit, External Debts, Exports and Imports affect each other for Pakistan: An ARDL Approach |
Country | : | Pakistan |
Authors | : | Irfan Khan || Dr. Khalid Mughal || Farooq Zia || Farhat Usman |
Abstract:This paper examines the dynamic casual short and long run associations among the GDP, Budget
Deficit, Imports, Exports and External Debts for the Pakistan economy by employing bounds testing (ARDL)
methodology for the period of 1999 to 2014. The results of bond test proposed that variables included in the
study are bound and move together in the long run. The empirical results of Pairwise Granger Causality stated
the bidirectional relationship among the Budget Deficit and Exports while one-way or unidirectional causation
found among the Exports & Budget Deficit, GDP & External Debts and Budget Deficit & External Debts but
there is no causality from GDP to Budget Deficit, External Debts to Exports, Exports to External Debts,
External Debts to Imports and Imports to Exports.
Keywords: Budget Deficits, External Debts, Trade, GDP, ARDL.

Title | : | Index of Industrial Production an Economic Index of Significant Effect on Nigeria Stock Exchange All Share Index |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Aromolaran, Adeyemi D. || Taiwo, A. || Adekoya, A. || Malomo, E. |
Abstract:Kumari (2011) opined that a nation's economy is said to be efficient if it has a good banking system and a good stock market exhibiting upward trend. In the time past, gross domestic product has been the focuses of economic watchers in assessing a country economic status, but of late, stock market exert greater influence on a nation's economy. Stock market often times experiences an unprecedented fluctuation which causes sleepless night and a great concern to the market managers. This trend most times results in instability of the stock market indices and consequently leads to distortions of market investors' strategies. Nigeria stock market experienced a dramatic downward trend for about six (6) years between 2007 and 2013 which caused untold economic displeasure in terms of monetary and job losses, the market is just recovering at a snail speed movement in the last two years. Although, the ugly incidence occurred at a time stock market crashed globally and since commenced a process of recovery to attain its known profitable status.

Title | : | Corporate Board Structure And Listed Firm Performance In Nigeria |
Country | : | Malaysia |
Authors | : | Ajayi Oziomobo Dada || Zahiruddin B. Ghazali |
Abstract:This study is designed to identify and advocate for optimal corporate governance (CG) mechanisms
that will enhance listed firm performance in Nigeria using conceptualized methodology. Research has been
ongoing concerning the issues of (GC) mechanisms as it affects listed firm performance in Nigeria. Findings
revealed that good CG mechanisms exhibit strong positive relationship with the firm's operational and financial
performances. CG is gradually evolving in Nigeria, though at a slow speed due to her peculiar business
environment, culture, politics, regulations and historical roots. The need for an appropriate board structure is
gaining the spotlight among corporate regulators and business owners especially after the near collapse of the
capital market in 2011 which led to enactment of numbers of CG codes and standard of corporate best practices
with emphasis on accountability, reporting standard and information disclosure to ensure that management
actions are geared towards sustainable growth of the firm.

Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Sandipan Chakraborty || Soumita Ghosh |
Abstract:Land is the basic resource of a nation. Land utilization expressed a reciprocal relationship between the prevailing ecological condition and human society of a region. Land use is an important aspect of geographical studies and it is the process of exploring the land for a specific objectives. The increasing population pressure, low man-land ratio, increasing rate of degradation of land are responsible for the optimal utilization of land resources. The use and over utilization of land can be accessed from its detailed analysis. Agriculture is one of the most complex and dynamic expressions among all primary economic activities performed and its structural, functional and development capacities depend upon the interaction of several attributes or elements of environment.
