Title | : | Experimental Investigation Of Properties Of Polypropylene And Non-Woven Spunbond Fabric |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Harsh Kansal |
Abstract: Polypropylene(PP) is the homo-polymer that is widely used for production of non-woven fabric. In the manufacture of polypropylene resins, considerable advances have been made. In this paper, thermal behavior of polypropylene granules was studied as a function of temperature by melt flow index of the polypropylene. For this purpose temperature range of 453K to 513 K was taken with a difference of 5 K. The results obtained from the melt flow indexing showed a linear behaviour between temperature and melt flow index (MFI) for the polypropylene...........

Abstract: Water scarcity is becoming a global concern. Textile industry uses large amount of water in their production processes, with subsequent generation of large quantity of wastewater. The major operations performed in a typical textile processing industry are desizing, scouring, mercerizing, bleaching, neutralizing, dyeing, printing and finishing. As the cost of water supplied to industry keeps increasing, textile industry needs recycling of waste water generated and conservation of water to reduce the water requirements and also dependency on other water sources...........

Abstract: Fullerene C60–polystyrene nanocomposite films were fabricated using solution casting method and modified using N2-DC- plasma with varying treatment time. Plasma treatment aimed to enhance surface wettability and optical parameters for industrial applications. For chemical modifications and new functionalities, the plasma treated films were examined by FTIR spectroscopy, water contact angle (WCA) and surface free energy and the results recorded the formation of new functional groups and decreasing.........

Abstract: In dentistry, polymer plays vital role in denture. Development was made from decades to decades still ideal denture has not been made in dentistry. The efforts are on going in regard to process in RRP (Rigid Rod Polymer) to develop ideal denture. But the PMMA poly (methyl methacrylate)] is still a superior choice of prosthetics and less expensive and usage was found to have good durability.........

Title | : | Synthesis of Vinyl Acetate-Co-Butyl Acrylate Latexes: Investigation of the Effects of Polymerization Temperature on the Latex Properties |
Country | : | Turkey |
Authors | : | Sedef Sismanoglu || Ayfer Sarac |
Abstract: In this study, poly(vinyl acetate-co-butyl acrylate) latexes were synthesized by applying semicontinuous emulsion polymerization method. Copolymerizations were carried out keeping constant monomer ratio of vinyl acetate (VAc): butyl acrylate (BuA) as 85:15 at four different temperatures (55 ◦C, 60 ◦C, 65 ◦C and 70 ◦C) and constant stirring rate (350 rpm) with the using of N-methylol acrylamide as protective colloid, ammonium persulfate potassium persulfate as thermal initiators, and 30 mole ethoxylated nonyl phenol as nonionic emulsifier. The characterization of synthesized latexes were done by determining solid content, conversion, Brookfield viscosity, particle size, the particle size distribution, surface tension and surface charges of latexes.
