Abstract: The Thermal Analysis and Drying Time characterization of green adhesives using agro and plastic waste materials as composite for domestic and industrial utilizations was carried out. Preparation of adhesive filler (Rice Husk Ash) and formulation of adhesive binders (Polystyrene waste and Arabic gum) were conducted. A synthetic adhesive (Sample A) served as a control. Standard adhesive and samples formulated were labeled A, B, C, D, E, F and G respectively based on varied quantities of fillers and binders. Thermal analysis and drying time of the adhesives were investigated. Thermal stability values which correspond to the curves explained the heating rate, melting point, minimum and maximum heat flow where investigated. The melting point of samples A, B, C, D, E, F and G were 58.88 0 C, 63.40 0 C, 63.36 0 C, 95.04 0 C, 134.32 O C, 128.680 C and 50.960 C respectively. The enthalpy......

Abstract: The Comfort properties of textiles are extremely important. It's sometimes more important than the aesthetic properties when the garment is next to the skin. Among all comfort properties, good absorption and easy drying are one of the most requirements. Wetting and wicking are two related processes. A liquid that does not wet fibers cannot wick into a cloth, and wicking can only occur when fibers assembled with capillary spaces between them are wetted by a liquid. Research is concerned with the wickability and other mechanical properties of cotton yarn with twist levels, and tension levels. wickability was determined by a wicking tester which was specially constructed for this research.The results showed that twist had a significant effect on the wickability of cotton yarns. Tension imposed also showed a significant effect on wickability in that higher the tension, lower the wickability. Use Washburn's equation and it is suggested that in studying wickability both the time exponents 'K' and intercept 'C' have to be considered to have a better understanding of wickability

Abstract: Ring frame is the last machine for producing yarn by spinning. For producing a better quality yarn, some of the factors are important. It also need to ensure the quality of yarn is same for all the position of ring frame. Sometimes it shows variation. In this study, we tried to find the problems for which the quality of yarns are varied & finally provided some solution how to minimize the variation. we observed the spinning position of Ring spinning machine such as Traveler, Apron, Drafting Arrangement, Lattice apron, Ring cup, Spacer etc. that can make deviation on the final yarn properties like C.S.P, T.P.I, I.P.I, CV%, Naps , hairiness, U%, Thick place, Thin place, Mic, +b (yellowness) and so on. From different points +b (yellowness) is one of the important factors. Here, we have to emphasized on +b (yellowness) value of fibre when bale mixing. If we can minimize the variation of +b (yellowness) value of yarn among the bales we can produce a less quality variation in the final yarn.
