Abstract: In this paper we studied the factors which are significantly influenced the parameters like grams per square meter (GSM), fabric width and geometric constant of weft knitted fabric. It is found that there is a significant relationships of machine diameter, stitch length, count, and geometric constant with GSM and width of the fabric. Grey diameter, finished GSM and geometric constant significantly influenced by the stitch length and resultant count. For our investigation 25 samples of plain weft knitted fabrics are produced in different settings and specifications.GSM, grey diameter, finished width, geometric constant are used as dependent variable and machine diameter, stitch length, yarn count in tex, geometric constant are used as independent variables to prepare the regression model.This research work identified the significant factors that can be used in knitting production floor of the textile industry to set the desired properties of fabrics

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to select the appropriate model of cotton fiber properties and yarn strength using spatial REML method. The fiber quality properties and yarn strength data of 2019 cotton crop season was collected from cotton technical support office, maintenance cotton varieties section, Cotton Research Institute (CRI), Egypt. These data includes six cotton varieties namely; Giza 45, Giza 86, Giza 90, Giza 92, Giza 94 and Giza 95. The monitored cotton fiber quality properties were upper half mean, uniformity index, strength, elongation, micronaire, maturity ratio, reflectance percentage and yellowness degree. These characteristics were divided into eight groups of cotton fiber properties with each other. All cotton fiber properties had high level of spatial dependency except for color attributes; reflectance percentage and yellowness degree, that had no obvious effect........

Abstract: Bio-based plastics, which are degradable polymer-blends from renewable agricultural products had been investigated as good substitute for non-degradable petroleum-based plastics. The attempt is to modify the non-biodegradability, strong carbon-carbon bonds, hydrophobicity, and durability properties of conventional thermoplastics, to ensure their natural decomposition by soil microorganisms. The surface topography of the corn-starch/plastic blended-sheets were taken using a scanning electronic microscope (PPSK)SEM, model, before subjecting them to soil burial biodegradation process. The major bacteria species identified from the soil after culturing, incubation, and biochemical identifications were Staphylococus aureus, E. Coli, Samonella Sp., Bacillus Sp., Pseudomanas Sp., Lactobacillus Sp. etc. The mechanical properties, percentage weight-loss, reduction in tensile properties, water absorption properties, appearance of remarkable voids, and cracks on the plastic surfaces, as compared to the pure plastic samples, confirmed the extend of biodegradation.
