Abstract: This study examines the structure of geothermal geochemisty data in India using k-means and hierarchical cluster analyses. The first attempt to list hot springs in India was made by Schlagintweit in 1852. The Geological Survey of India published a special publication titled 'Geothermal Atlas of India', and the government of India constituted a 'Hot Spring Committee' to examine the possibility of developing geothermal plants for power generation and other uses. In the Puga valley and Parvati projects, it is estimated that it is possible to harness 5000 MWh of geothermal energy from Puga valley, sufficient to sustain a 20 MWe power plant.......

Abstract: In the compression-shear loading experiment of coal samples, the relationship between acoustic emission signals and sample failure process was analyzed from the time domain characteristics, frequency spectrum characteristics, and fracture component characteristics of acoustic emission signals. The experimental results show that during the compression-shear failure process of coal samples, tensile fracture occurs at the inflection point of the stress curve, while shear fracture occurs at multiple periods, with the most concentrated being the macroscopic failure of the sample. When the coal sample approaches failure, large-scale cracks expand, so that low-frequency acoustic emission events increase most significantly. After the coal sample is destroyed, apart from fracture along the shear plane, the areas of local peeling and large-scale collapse are mainly caused by tensile failure.

Abstract: Olkaria is the most explored volcano along the Kenyan Rift Valley and it is in the advanced stages of development. Despite Olkaria's success as an energy provider, there is continued research into methods to improve the development of the fields. The area, east of the domes only has a single well OW-922 unfortunately, it did not sustain discharge during testing. A combination of 1D Magnetotelluric (MT) and Transient Electromagnetics (TEM) methods were utilized to understand the area resistivity structures. However, there were limitations in mapping the deep-seated structures. A geoscientific study has to be done to gain a deeper understanding of the resistivity structures.....

Abstract: This study explores the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) equipped with Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology for monitoring high-voltage power lines. By integrating RPAS and LiDAR, the inspection process becomes more efficient, accurate, and safer compared to traditional methods. LiDAR's ability to capture detailed 3D data provides valuable insights into the condition of transmission line corridors, including vegetation encroachment and structural damage. The research highlights the potential of these technologies to reduce operational costs, improve data accuracy, and enhance the management of power grids, offering a sustainable solution for infrastructure monitoring in challenging environments
