Title | : | Predictors of College Readiness for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders |
Country | : | U.S.A |
Authors | : | Janet L. Applin, Ph.D. || Martha J. Boman, Ed.D. |
Abstract: More youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders are transitioning into a post-secondary environment than ever before. These individuals have been found to be unemployed and under enrolled in school at disproportionately high levels. This problem is compounded by the fact that even when students on the spectrum make it into college, their graduation rates are far lower than those of neurotypical students. In an attempt to better predict these students' likelihood of success in college, this study used multivariate regression analysis to compare current college readiness measures.........

Authors | : | Angela MericiGirlani Adem || Abd. Qohar |
Abstract: Problem solving is essential in mathematics teaching and learning. Beside the problem solving can help students to solve mathematics problem systematically and completely, it can also increasethe students' mathematical thinking ability. Problem solving strategy consists of some heuristic strategies, and one of those is making drawing process. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how students' mathematical thinking increased when they use problem solving strategy including making drawing process to solve some mathematical problems, in particular when they solve geometry problems. For this purpose, a research has been made in two cycles of learning process......

Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Fatima Ibrahim |
Abstract: This paper examines some international declarations that led to the launching of Universal basic Education (UBE) programme in Nigeria. The objectives and scope of UBE are discussed and the situation of basic education before the implementation of UBE. This is done in order to show the huge and substantial resources the UBE programme needs for its success –the resources no single stakeholder can provide. Accordingly, five notable development partners were identified. .......

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of learning strategies (The differences between Problem Based Learning and Direct Instruction) and cognitive style on mathematical problems solving learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental research design (nonequivalent control group designs) The research subjects were students from state elementary school of V grade in Gading I Surabaya, east java. The totals of elementary school population in east Surabaya were 141 elementary schools. The selected schools are the schools which have some parallel classes, therefore the circumstances are relatively similar. Four classes are selected, they were from SDN Gading 1 state elementary school........

Abstract: In African Church the Church is engulfed by prosperity preaching, which is the approach of material procession from God through positive confession induced by Christian preachers. This contemporary religious phenomenon calls for concern among believers. And whereas a critical contrast with Jesus' response to Judas Iscariots reaction against His anointing shows that there is something wrong with this idea that sounds like God made a mistake in not creating all fingers equal. This research applied critical exegetic examination of Matt.26:6, related literature,........

Title | : | Tracking Exposed: The Potential for Undermining Urban High School Students' Academic Success through Course Placement Practices |
Country | : | U.S.A |

Abstract: Students from marginalized populations often identified by race, ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic level are not tracked at the same frequency as mainstreamed populations into advanced sections of high school courses in many US schools and miss out on the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of content. It is evident that students that experience limited placement in advanced courses are less prepared for college and future employment........
