Abstract: One of the main challenges English language teachers face in their daily classes is to find creative ways of sustaining their students' interest in language learning, which can often be perceived as dull and tedious. Music and songs, which have a universal appeal and ubiquitous presence in most people's daily lives, have all the prerequisites to become an effective teaching resource in this respect. However, this useful resource appears to be underutilized by English language teachers, which is attributable to the lack of understanding of its theoretical rationale and benefits. The present paper aims to analyze the role and potential of music and songs in English language.....

Abstract: English plays a very important role in the current globalization era. Therefore, the education system of our country places great emphasis on teaching English to students. However, learning English is a challenging task for students in Vietnam. Local primary school students are still weak in all four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Especially, students in Tan Lap, are very shy to speak English in class due to many different reasons such as shyness, reticence, fear of laughter when they say the wrong thing; Due to the large class sizes, teachers have little time to practice skills for each student. Therefore, a good organization of speaking practice will......

Title | : | Teaching geometry with an app in primary school |
Country | : | Mexico |

Abstract: Background: International tests have shown that the academic performance, in mathematics and science, of Mexican primary school students is low. However, technology is a tool that can help motivate and encourage children to develop notions of mathematical concepts that they are not yet using at the age of 6. Using a smartphone seems to be a good way to get closer to children because today the new generations live with these devices every day, and their use does not represent any problem for them. So, we decided to use an app to bring geometry closer to children so that they would generate the concept of perimeter of geometric figures and objects in general......

Abstract: Background: Despite the fact that game-based learning systems have been around for a long time, their popularity has risen in recent years. In other words, embracing game-based learning platform in education is becoming increasingly popular, particularly with the emergence of millennials, whose lives are heavily impacted by digital technology and who like to study in a fun, dynamic, and engaging setting. Quizizz, a game-based learning platform, has piqued the interest of researchers and educational stakeholders since it has demonstrated positive learning outcomes by incorporating unique game elements such as leader boards, memes, and quiz reports, all of which can help to increase engagement and provide a positive learning experience in a non-stressful setting.....

Abstract: The adoption of talk-chalk instructional method in Nigerian Science classrooms is due to the lack of instructional materials for science teaching. The method has been adjudged to be ineffective in making learners acquire functional science knowledge and skills. This problem is more prominent in Physics related concepts, particularly optics. Scholars advocated for improvisation to make for the unavailable instructional materials. In this study, the effect of some improvised optical materials (glass block, triangular prism and biconvex lens) on students' academic achievement in optical concepts was tested. The study employed a pre-test-posttest quasi experimental-control groups design........

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to explore the conceptualisation of Citizenship Education among curriculum designers in the grade four Social studies curriculum in Kenya. The study employed qualitative research with a grounded theory design. Data was collected using interviews and document analysis. It was analysed using grounded theory and constant comparative technique. The finding of the study revealed apt conceptualisation of Citizenship Education in grade four Social studies curriculum. The study recommends for proper induction of teachers on the conceptualised curriculum so as to ensure its full implementation.

Abstract: This study sought to determine the relative effect of games and simulation in primary school students' performance in mathematics. Data were collected from a sample of 300 randomly selected SSII students from 10 primary schools in educational district V of Lagos state. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to analyze the data collected for the study. The research design that was used in this study is the Quasi-experimental research design, which consist of two groups, (experimental and control groups), a pre-test and post-test will be administered to both groups. Mathematics Based Achievement Test (MBAT) would be used for this study together with Card Games.........

Abstract: The purposes of this study were to investigate types of implicatures and conversational implicatures that occurred in selected videos. Qualitative research methodology was employed in this study. The participants were two lecturers and two students from two different videos. This study was considered as interaction analysis since it analyzed interaction between addresser and addressee. The results of identification indicate that con-ventional implicatures are more dominant compare to conversational implicatures. For types of conversational implicature, generalized conversational implicatures are more dominant than particularized conversational implicatures..

Abstract: Background: Interactive technology applications are developing rapidly, and the advancement of 3D virtual reality (VR) technology has also produced many innovative applications. However, this kind of interactive information is mostly used for entertainment, and its application in teaching is still to be developed. The impact of these virtual three-dimensional images on learners still needs to be explored. The learning responses of people with different sensory information processing characteristics also need to be understood. Considering the above factors, we can design a more suitable teaching material.........
