Abstract: In this paper we are searching for the main reasons of troubles in mathematics for students of non-mathematical fields of study at a technical university. Here we combine a questionnaire technique with an analysis of the responds in the test of knowledge in a high-school mathematics. The questionnaire is applied in order to determine students' opinion about the usage of knowledge from mathematics in practice. We seek to find the connection between the usage of mathematical knowledge in practice and teaching of university mathematics. We ask for the value of the influence of the right motivation on educational process. The key claims are formed on the basis of analyzing the gathered data and their further matching. Besides presenting a view on the contemporary teaching we also offer some suggestions for making improvements in the studied area. We consider the research results being important for the teaching process reflection.

Abstract: Stress is a universal element and person from nearly every walk of life have to face stress. Employers today are critically analyzing the stress management issues that contribute to lower job performance of employees originating from dissatisfaction and high turnover, ultimately affecting both organizational goals as well as family life of employees. The main reason for stress appears to be either failure to balance between career goals and family responsibility. This imbalance ultimately leads to increased number of family disputes, divorce cases, failure at corporate level and so on. The research was carried out taking the data from college teachers working in Rajasthan (India) from 2016 to 2019. Abstract: This study was devoting to examining the effect of explicit and implicit corrective feedback modes on literacy skills of English majors at Shaqra' University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The instruments required for the study were the questionnaire of feedback, pre-posttest, and a follow-up interview. The participants of the study consisted of seventy five students, including those who participated in piloting the pre-posttests, the questionnaire of feedback and the interview. Two teachers affiliated to the English department participated in the application of the experiment . Two way-analysis of covariance was used, ANCOVA and ANOVA. The results indicated that there was a difference in literacy skills posttest in favor of the experimental group due to corrective feedback modes in favor of the implicit corrective feedback mode. Findings indicated that implicit corrective feedback improve students' literacy skills. The study calls for further investigation to examine the effect of corrective feedback on enhancing language accuracy and fluency.

Abstract: The study investigated the effect of science writing heuristics on students' acquisition of science process skills. Four research questions and five hypotheses guided the study. The quasi-experimental design was used, specifically the pretest posttest non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study comprised 1,946 senior secondary school year two (SS2) biology students in Oshimilli North local government of Delta State. A sample of 201 senior Secondary School year two (SS 2) biology students was used in the study. The instrument for data collection was Science Process Skills Acquisition Test (SPSAT). SPSAT was validated by two lecturers in Science Education department and Educational Foundation of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and one experienced biology teacher. The reliability of the instruments was established using Kudder-Richardson formula 20 to be 0.83. Data were collected by administering the instruments as pretest and posttest after six weeks. Abstract: The aim of the study is to investigatewhetherthe application of multimedia, compared to the traditional teaching method, is usefulforenhancingstudents' English-speaking skills. Sixty students in the advanced-programat Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam were selected to test if there was a significant difference between the effect of multimedia approach and conventional one on their English speaking skills.The study was conducted during the first semester of the academic year of 2018-2019, in whichthestudentswere dividedinto two groups and taught speaking skills in two different ways. The first group wasexposed to the use of multimedia while the others still followedthe use of traditional approach in the same time, then the researchers compared their achievements in terms of final speaking exam results and their engagement in speaking practice. It is found that the use of multimedia as an approach in communicative language teaching is effective for improving speaking abilities of the students

Abstract: By analyzing the English Reading Course for college English majors, teachers should choose a more effective method to cope with the trend of globalization. Students are required to read Chinese literary works and shared what they have read in flipped Classroom mode in the extensive reading class. Students were more active and positive because they were interested in learning English in this way.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to find the students' achievement comparison between mental computation and non-mental computation approach on subtraction topic at the fourth grade students SD Negeri 8 Peusangan. This study use quantitative approach with pre-test and post-test experimental design. The data were analyzed using statistics of t-test to test the hypothesis. The population of this study were two parallel classrooms where one classroom as the experimental group and the other as the control group. Due to the number of the population are not so big, all of them used as the sample. The number f sample for both experimental and control group are 14 students. The results show that students' achievements taught by mental computation approach are better than that of non-mental computation approach. Students' responses towards mental computation approach are very good and they look like more creative in solving subtraction problems

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine external examiners' characteristics and examinees' performance in West African Examinations Council's (WAEC) Biology Examinations in secondary schools in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. To achieve this purpose, four research questions and four hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study. A sample size of 668 senior secondary three students (examinees) who took the 2019 May/June West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) was used for the study and they were selected using simple random sampling technique. "External Examiners' Characteristics Questionnaire" was the instrument used for data collection. The instrument was face validated and subjected to Cronbach Apha reliability analysis which was 0.88. The students' Biology raw scores from the results of the May/June 2019 WASSCE were used to measure the examinees' performance. Abstract: The aims of this research are to (1) find out the differences between students learning outcomes who were taught by using project based learning and problem based learning; (2) find out the differences between student learning outcomes that had positive work attitudes and negative work attitudes; (3) find out the interaction between learning models and work attitudes towards learning outcomes of welding technology. This research method was quasi-experimental design, with descriptive and inferential analysis, 2x2 factorial design and two-way ANOVA analysis and continued with the Scheffe test. The results showed that: (1) the student learning outcomes who were taught by using project based learning were higher than problem-based learning; (2) the student learning outcomes of welding technology who have high work attitudes are higher than low work attitudes; (3) there is an interaction between learning models and work attitudes towards learning outcomes of welding technology. The results showed that students who had positive work attitudes were get better grades if taught with project based learning, while students who have negative work attitudes get better if taught with problem based learning......

Abstract: This study aims to investigate politeness strategy, cooperative principle, and speech act in Mean Girls movie. This study involves the conversation between characters of Mean Girls movie. The data are analyzed by using qualitative descriptive. Results show that bald on record becomes the strategy of politeness which dominantly used. Furthermore, the conversations are mostly according to Grice's theory without violating the four maxims, and directive becomes the most type of speech act which is used in the conversations. It is recommended for future researcher to investigate this issue in other areas and give deeper explanations about reasons in using politeness strategies, speech act, and also cooperative principle.

Abstract: The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is the widely used teaching method in the area of teaching language in the developed countries. Pakistan has two different learning systems: English intermediate and Urdu intermediate. The main purpose of this study was to assess the attitudes of students and teachers for teaching and learning the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach at the tertiary level in Pakistan. This study has applied the literature and situational analysis (Qualitative research method). The Pakistani educators should consider social and other relevant aspects and adjust the CLT as necessary. Since there is a model for teaching English by using traditional teaching strategies, the language teachers at the colleges in Pakistan are invited to study their circumstances and conditions and adjust CLT methods. This approach of teachers can improve the current situation of teaching English in colleges, and can help students to participate in educational procedures and be responsible for their studies

Abstract: Entrepreneurial ventures addressing social issues has widely spread as a global phenomenon. The positive impact of social entrepreneurship on alleviating social problems has already been proven. As a newly evolved form of entrepreneurship with a keen difference from its commercial counterpart, social entrepreneurship encounters unique challenges. This study attempts to explore the barriers and policy challenges to social entrepreneurship development especially in Asian perspective. A sample of six social entrepreneurs were interviewed using an unstructured interview questionnaire. Common barriers include access to credit and other finance products, access to basic skills and technical knowledge, access to foreign capital and expertise etc. The outcome of the study cannot be generalized to other countries, as the barriers and policy challenges are influenced.....
