ABSTRACT: This study was carried out to assess the effect of commercially contaminated feeds on aflatoxin residue in milk of White Fulani and Sokoto Gudali cows. Three cows each of White Fulani and Sokoto Gudali breeds, averagely 250 kg body weight, five years old and in their second parity and mid-late lactation were fed a commercial dairy diet and a crop residue mixture basal diet (sorghum husk and beans husk at a ratio of 2:1) for a period of three months. Daily milk yield was collected, measured and bulked from where samples were subsequently analyzed for milk composition and aflatoxin M1. Results of milking performance showed that values of average daily concentrate intake of the cows were 5.1 and 5.0 kg for White Fulani cows and Sokoto Gudali and they differed significantly (P<0.05)......

ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the factors (color, aroma, age) that affect the price of red coffee beans at ASA Coffee. This research was conducted at ASA Coffee, located at Jalan Simpang Wariji, Blang Kolak 1. The method of analysis is as follows: 1) Descriptive analysis is an analysis that describes respondents' responses to the perception of coffee farmers (coffee sellers) on satisfaction with the purchase price at ASA Coffee. , 2) Quantitative analysis using multiple regression analysis is an analysis used by researchers, if the researcher intends to predict how the condition (up and down) of the dependent variable, if two or more independent variables are predictors. Based on the F test, it can be seen that the calculated F is smaller than the F table value of 70.784≤21.843 with a significant level below 0.05 where the Sig value is 0.000≤21.843 with a significant level below 0.005 so it.....

ABSTRACT: Ginkgo biloba L. is a deciduous, multipurpose plant and very rare in Egypt, belongs to the family Ginkgoaceae. It has many great medicinal properties, which have massive application in the pharmaceutical industries in addition to its decorative importance. There is a need for applying modern conventional methods of propagation for conservation and sustainable utilization of the plant, so, an efficient protocol for in vitro propagation of G.biloba has been established. Stem nodal segments were used as explants for micropropagation. Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 0.54 M - naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and 8.90 M 6-benzyl......

ABSTRACT: Background: . South Kalimantan has a wide potential of agricultural land which is dominated by swamp land with a recorded area of 4,969,824 ha, consisting of tidal swampland, peatland, and lowland swamp which have the potential for regional-based integrated agriculture development. This great potential is part of the food security system that must be considered to maintain the availability and adequacy of food in South Kalimantan Province. This great potential is not necessarily safe without threats and disasters, with flat area conditions and low elevations and empties into the sea making several districts and cities in South Kalimantan prone to flood disasters, one of which is in the research location of Banjar Regency which will certainly have an impact on Damage to agricultural land and its subsequent consequences affect the income of farmers and affect the pattern and level of food consumption.....

ABSTRACT: Camel brucellosis is an infectious disease, mostly presenting in chronic state; caused by Brucella organisms, which also affect other animals. Species that have been documented to affect camels are: Brucella abortus (normally causing disease in cattle) and Brucella mellitensis (normally causing disease in goats). The disease has been shown to spread between animals, across herds and to humans. This study was aimed at establishing sero-prevalence of brucellosis in Garissa camels. It was a cross-sectional study, where the study population was purposively chosen to consist animals taken for slaughter in 13 slaughterhouses within three sub-counties of Garissa County, namely Garissa Central (represented by Garissa-township), Garissa East (represented by Dadaab) and Garissa West......

ABSTRACT: Background: Population growth and the improvement of Indonesian living standards will encourage the increasing fulfillment of food needs, including animal protein derived from beef. From 2016 to 2020, Indonesian consumption of beef equivalent per capita fluctuated and tended to decrease by an average of 0.14% per year. During this period, the highest peak consumption in 2019 increased by 2.40%, from 2.50 kg/cap/year in 2018 to 2.56 kg/cap/year in 2019. To meet the demand for domestic beef consumption by increasing the population of cattle and buffalo, the government issued the latest program called the SIKOMANDAN (Buffalo Mainstay Cattle) program. This program.....
