ABSTRACT:The study was carried out to evaluate the Effects of Raw and Processed Senna obtusifolia Seed Meals on the growth performance, carcass characteristics and blood profile of weaner rabbits. Forty weaner rabbits were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments containing 10% of raw,10% toasted,10%sprouted,10% boiled and 10% fermented in a completely randomized design with 8 rabbits per treatment replicated 4 times with 2 rabbits per replicate. The result of the proximate composition of raw and differently processed Senna obtusifolia seeds showed crude protein range of 23.04 in raw to 25.13% in fermented. Dry matter ranged from 90.30-92.20%. The content of saponin.........

ABSTRACT: Goat is a domesticated small ruminant, primarily reared by small farmers for meat production, across the country. Productivity of goat is often low, which could be related to several genetic and non-genetic factors. A field study was carried out to characterize, evaluate and estimate the effect of non-genetic factors on the productive and reproductive performance of hill goats during December, 2016 to August 2017 in different eco-zones at Salyan district of mid-western Nepal. Altogether 45 bucks of different age groups were identified for this study. Morphological attributes, productive, and reproductive performance were collected based on field monitoring and measurements within different altitudes of Salyan district. Least square analysis was performed using Harvey (1990) computer software package, and means were compared using DMRT. The measurements of morphological traits were......

ABSTRACT: Aphids are an economically important pest of numerous crops. India faces a huge agricultural loss of about 8,63,884 million owing of soft-bodied insect pest. In India, mainly in Maharashtra various aphid species infect number of crops i.e. Aphis craccivora, Aphis gossypii , Myzus persicae,Aphis fabae, Toxoptera aurantii, and Aphis nerii etc. Aphis nerii mainly feed on ornamental plants from the family Asclepiadaceae, Apocynaceae, and Verbenaceae. Aphis nerii mainly feed on ornamental plants from parts of India infested to Calatropis sp, Nerium, Asclepias currasavia, Phyllanthus niruri. Aphis nerii causes discoloured spots on foliage and stem. Sooty mold was developed on honeydew secreted by the colony members.A.nerii infected mostly to ornamental plants. In nurseries, most of Aphis nerii infestation were observed due to this infestation economy......

ABSTRACT: An experiment was conducted at Directorate of Agricultural Research, Province N 2, Parwanipur, Bara for 42 days to evaluate the effect of Turmeric (Curcuma longa) powder and whey protein inclusion in broiler feed and its effect on growth of broiler production. Altogether 150 day old Cobb-500 broiler birds were divided into 5 treatments with 3 replications (10 birds in each replication) by using completely randomized design. Experimental birds were provided adlib grower feed (B1) for 21 days and that after finisher feed (B3) for 21 days and had easily access to drinking water. Feed intake was recorded daily and body weight gain was measured in 7 days interval. Control group (T1) was provided concentrate mixture only, whereas in T2 and T4 groups concentrate mixture......

ABSTRACT: Green Pepper (Capsicum annum L.) is cultivated as a vegetable for it aroma, spices use in seasoning food and medicinal purposes. The commercial production is mostly in northern Nigeria with limited supply in Southern Nigeria. This study was conducted to provide agronomic information needed for optimum growth and yield of green pepper in Southern Nigeria where it demand and uses is very high. Thus, the evaluation of green pepper cultivation under nine poultry manure rates ( 0,1,1.5,2,2.5,3,5,7,and 9) t/ha were conducted in Teaching and Research Farm, Obubra Campus Cross River University of Technology, Cross River State, Nigeria in 2020 and 2021 cropping seasons......

ABSTRACT: The impact of climate change on maize production and low maize yields highlights the crucial need to improve yield in drought prone zones in West and Central Africa (WCA). Climate change projections suggest higher temperatures within the areas. Therefore, there is need to identify and develop maize cultivars tolerant to combined drought and heat stress (CDHS). An increase in temperature above 30oC reduces yield by 1% under optimal (rain-fed) condition, 1.7% under drought stress (DS) and up to 40 % under CDHS. The objective of this study is to identify traits that contributed to better performance of maize yield under CDHS. Two hundred and six early maturing PVA hybrids and four commercial checks were used for evaluation inKadawa Nigeria for two years.....

ABSTRACT: Background: Dairying plays a major role in Indian rural economy. Indigenous cattle are being bred with exotic germplasm to increase the milk yield. Jersey and Holstein Friesian crossbreeding is being practiced in the Kerala state to increase the milk production. Farmers need to know which breeds is suitable for their location in terms of higher production. Materials and Methods:The present study was conducted objective of comparing the fat, and SNF contents of milk of Jersey and Holstein Friesian breeds in the Idukki district of Kerala to make recommendation for the breed suitable for this location. Results:The mean morning milk yield in the Jersey cattle ranged from 4.46±0.10 litres to 5.36±0.14 litres. High morning milk yield was observed during the month of May. The mean evening milk yield in the jersey cattle ranged from 3.26±0.12 litres to 4.15±0.10 litres. High evening milk yield was observed during the month of May.......

ABSTRACT: To enjoy life you must have good health, to have good health you must consume balance food/soup (5 in 1Balanced Vegetables Powder). In this paper, the consumption of bambara groundnuts powder, moringa green leaves powder, pumpkin green leaves powder, tomato fruits powder and cat fish powder as balanced soup/food for good health and longevity is discussed. They are sources of nutrients and are available in abundance in rural communities. However, they are seasonal and highly perishable limiting their consistent supply and utilization to contribute to global food and nutrition security. Intervention that incorporate indigenous skill based technology for processing......

ABSTRACT: An eight week study was carried out to evaluate the hematological and serum biochemical characteristics of broiler chickens fed graded dietary levels of cassava peel meal (CPM) and palm kernel cake (PKC) based diets supplemented with exogenous enzyme (Nutrizyme®). A total of126 Anak 2000 broiler chicks (day-old), used in the investigation were randomly assigned six dietary treatments of 21 birds each. The treatments were sub-divided into three replicates containing 7 birds each in a 3x2 factorial design. All hematological parameters but one (Hemoglobin, Red blood cell, Packed cell volume, Mean cell volume, Mean cell hemoglobin, and Mean cell hemoglobin concentration) showed significant (P<0.05) treatment effect, whilst White blood cell was not significantly (P>0.05.....

ABSTRACT: Crop patterns are very important to understand when deciding how to use agricultural land. A variety
of crops can be grown on arable land as cropping patterns change. The degree of variety increases with the
level of competition. The fundamental benefit of studying crop zones is that it helps us comprehend how physiosocio-
economic factors affect the agricultural environment. The study identified the crucial elements affecting
Charkhi Dadri's agricultural output and suggested certain policy adjustments to increase output there. The
methodology combines Geostatistical methods with optical remote sensing data from Landsat-8 (September
2022 and February 2022) and Landsat-5 (September 2011 and March 2011). It also uses an unsupervised
classification system. It was....
