ABSTRACT: The purpose was to establish the Influence of Monitoring and Evaluation of Agriculture for Food Security in Murang'a County, Kenya. Objective: to determine if Monitoring of agriculture output process has influence on household food security. Methodology of Pragmatic paradigm, descriptive and correlational surveys. Target population 134,654, sample size of 383. (SPSS) version 25 computer program generated frequencies. Hypotheses investigated had significance level of 0.05: The null hypothesis (H0); - M&E Input process and Household food security have no meaningful association, hence disproved (P=0.0000.05). The null hypothesis of the relationship between household food security and M&E input process was disproved (P=0.0000.05).

ABSTRACT: Background: Rice (Oryza sativa L) is a staple food for the majority of the world's population, and its availability must be ensured by the state. The Banjar Regency possesses a potential area of swampy land, which is generally characterized by acidic sulfate soil with a pH range of 2-3. Consequently, this condition leads to low productivity for rice crops cultivated on such land. Therefore, efforts to increase agricultural production need to be carried out through intensification, by implementing inorganic fertilization using NPK compound fertilizer and adjusting the planting distance with the jajar legowo planting system. This research has the purpose to find out the effect of the interaction between NPK fertilizer application and the jajar legowo planting system and to determine the individual effects of NPK fertilizer and the jajar legowo planting system on the growth and yield of Inpari IR Nutri Zinc rice cultivar.....

ABSTRACT: This paper studies the comprehensive detection and classification of various appearance quality characteristics of apples. In defect detection, the texture features of the region of interest were extracted and the support vector machine model was established. The classification of calyx area and defect area of fruit stem has been realized with an accuracy rate of 96.0%. In size detection, the maximum transverse diameter of the fruit diameter plane was calculated by comparing the length width ratio of the minimum circumscribed rectangle to find the fruit diameter plane. For......

ABSTRACT: The study examined the socio-economic determinants of adoption of recommended rice technologies among smallholder farmers in Ebonyi State of Nigeria. A multistage random sampling procedure was employed to select a total of 144 respondents comprising 72 adopters and 72 non-adopters of the recommended technologies on whom structured questionnaire were administered for the purpose of this study. Descriptive statistics and Inferential statistics involving Probit analysis were used for data analysis. The result showed that majority (52%) of the adopters fell within the middle age category of 31 – 40 years whereas the greatest percentage (40%) of the non-adopters fell within the older age limits of 51 years and above with a mean age of 40 years for adopters and.....

ABSTRACT: Background: Intensive horse breeding in Rio Grande do Sul involves various operational aspects, including waste management practices, which are crucial for environmental sustainability. Effective waste management not only ensures regulatory compliance but also mitigates environmental pollution risks. However, the adequacy of waste management practices in this context remains unclear. Materials and Methods: This research conducted 88 interviews with managers and owners of horse breeding establishments across 51 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul. Each facility surveyed housed a minimum of 11 stabled horses......

ABSTRACT: Plastic packaging plays an important role in food safety, however difficulties such as non-biodegradability, recycling difficulty, and the leakage of dangerous chemicals into food and soil raise severe concerns about human health and the environment. As a result, there is an urgent need for bio-sourced polymer alternatives to non-biodegradable food packaging materials. Bio-based packaging materials are a growing alternative to traditional polymers. Natural biopolymers compete economically with conventional ones due to their widespread availability, ease of processing, biodegradability, compostability, and strong mechanical and barrier qualities. Bio-based polyesters provide a wide range of materials, from stiff to soft, with characteristics that range from partially to totally biodegradable. Fish waste is becoming increasingly popular as a new raw material for biopolymer manufacturing in a variety of applications, mostly in food packaging, due to significant economic and environmental benefits.......
