ABSTRACT: The experiment was carried out in the Teaching and Research Farm of the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture. Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria, to determine the effects of lipid oxidation and sensory attributes of broiler chicken fed dietary oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) leaf powder on meat quality. The diets were supplemented with oregano leaf powder at 15g/kg, 20g/kg, 25g/kg and 0g/kg (control group), represented as TI, T2, T3 and T4, respectively, oregano leaf powder did not affect sensory attributes of broiler meat (P>0.05). However significantly affected oxidative stability losses, higher inclusion level (25g) of oregano leaf powder improves......

ABSTRACT: The study analyzed the profitability of farm enterprises among adopters and non-adopters of improved cassava varieties based mixed cropping system in Ebonyi State of Nigeria. A multistage sampling procedure was employed to select a total of 120 respondents (comprising 60 adopters and 60 non-adopters of the improved cassava varieties based mixed cropping system) on whom structure questionnaires were administered. Enterprise budget analysis per hectare and descriptive statistics such as means, frequency, percentages etc were used for data analysis. The results showed that the farm enterprise of the adopters of improved cassava varieties-based mixed cropping system was much more profitable than that of the non-adopters. This is based on the findings that whereas every one naira invested in the cultivation of one hectare of improved cassava varieties based.....

ABSTRACT: The study was conducted during Aman season (July-December) of 2023 to observe the yield and quality attributes of ten popular aromatic rice varieties of Bangladesh. This study employed six aromatic rice genotypes designated as V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, and V6. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with four replications. All the growth and yield contributing attributes varied significantly among the rice varieties Data were recorded on plant height (cm), total tillers hill-1, fertile tillers hill-1, panicle length (cm), spikelets panicle-1, grains panicle-1, 1000-grain weight (g), grain yield (t ha-1), and straw yield (t ha-1). The highest grain yield was obtained from V1 (3.60.....

ABSTRACT: Background: Buffaloes, integral to rural Nepal, significantly impact agricultural productivity and community socio-economic well-being. Strategic breeding initiatives and effective management practices enhance buffalo farming efficiency. Evaluating milk yield and reproductive traits in crossbred Murrah buffaloes allows us to identify superior individuals. However, there is a trade-off between milk yield and reproductive characteristics. Climate, genotype, nutrition, and herd management influence these traits, helping us identify genetically superior buffaloes. This research aims to assess......

ABSTRACT: The main objectives of the research were to identify the effect of deforestation on agriculture production and to examine the relationship between deforestation and agricultural production as a case of Kismayo", lower Jubba, Somalia. The Study employs questionnaire survey. It also uses descriptive Research. The survey respondents were asked to rate ten questions developed from the two variables of the study. The study finds that deforestation has negative impact on agriculture production, the findings are in line with Deborah Lawrence and Karen Vandecar (2015) investigated the Effects of tropical deforestation on climate and agriculture. Their study found that deforestation causes.....

ABSTRACT: Background: Zein is amphiphilic and ethanol-soluble, which can be loaded with drugs and functional ingredients to prepare microcapsules which could release at specific sites within body. However, the natural zein grain size is general large (150-550 nm) and the distribution is not concentrated, which is not conducive to the loading and release of the core material, therefore, it is urgent to explore the influencing factors of its particle size and distribution.....
