ABSTRACT: The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition Department in Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh with growing male Black Bengal goats. The aim of present study was to observe the effects of feeding different forms of diet on the performance of Black Bengal goat. A ration was prepared in three different forms such as A- green grass + concentrate mixture in conventional form, B- green grass + concentrate in pellet form and C- both grass and concentrate in compound pellet form according to NRC (1981) nutrient requirements......

ABSTRACT: Veterinarians are known to be at risk for developing compassion fatigue. Becauseshelter medicine is a new specialty area of veterinary practice, we chose to investigate what graduate students studying this emerging discipline by distance learning revealed about their unique struggles with compassion fatigue. The researchers applied grounded theory to open-code and thematically analyze written responses for assignments submitted by students during the summer of 2015 as they completed an online graduate course in shelter medicine.....

ABSTRACT: Most developing countries like Ethiopia should look forward to solve acute protein deficiency in the diets of its increasing population and providing employment opportunity by cultivating mushrooms in the urban area, without heavily depending on agricultural lands and capital. To this end, this experiment was conducted to identify the best basic substrate for yield and yield contributing attributes of oyster mushroom in Gamo Gofa zone in two locations at low (1278m.a.s) and high (2741m.a.s) altitude, Arba Minch and Chencha towns respectively.........

Title | : | Blood Transfusion in a Calf with Life-Threatening Anemia |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | G.Saritha || G.S.Haritha || K.Nalini Kumari || N.Syaama Sundar |
ABSTRACT: In bovine, anemia occurs due to blood protozoan infection, ecto- and endo parasites and nutritional deficiency. Sometimes it may occur as a result of severe liver dysfunction and bone marrow depression. It is sometimes necessary for the practitioner to transfuse the ruminant with whole blood or plasma. The timely administration of blood in cases of life-threatening anaemia in calves is clinically important. In the present case blood transfusion was carried out successfully with the available resources and it is simple, economical and clinically rewarding.
