Abstract: Bangladesh as a developing economy has inspired developing its banking industry to promote economic growth. Money is the life blood of an economy where bank is the merchant of that money. As an integral part of any economy banking sector facilitates the way to the development of a country through the proper management & best utilization of money and that is why it is obvious to monitor & assess the performance of its activities. The point of this paper is to inspect the financial performance of Islamic banking of Bangladesh particularly in Al-Arafah Islamic Bank Limited (AIBL). Abstract: Though many studies have been conducted on the socio-economic status of a minority all over India, we hardly find studies undertaken for Karnataka state , where a quarter of the total population is a minority in which the majority is of Muslims. Lots of studies on this issue have portrayed an extreme backward picture of the Muslim Minority in the country. The current study has been undertaken to explore whether the situation is further worsened or improved or remains more or less the same in Karnataka as compared to the whole country. The previous studies have not emphasized employment opportunities, particularly to the community though they highlighted the exclusion of Muslim minorities in Socio-economic and political space. This study has focused on the employment opportunities available to Muslims and their exclusion in various organized and essential unorganized employment opportunities, and its impact on their socio-economic condition. The study has explored endogenous factors such as low saving, mass consumption, indebtedness, ignorance and illiteracy due to less expenditure on education resulting in backward sustainability of Muslims more than exogenous factors such as state or social support

Abstract: The Indian banking sector has been facing serious problems of raising Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth has a direct impact on profitability of banks. Non- performing assets are one of the major concerns for scheduled commercial banks in India. The recommendations of Narasimham committee and Verma committee, some steps have been taken to solve the problem of old NPAs in the balance sheets of the banks. It continues to be expressed from every corner that there has rarely been any systematic evaluation of the best way of tackling the problem. Abstract: Housing shortage is a global issue and is more severe in developing countries. In India, the urban housing shortage is estimated to be 18.78 million households in 2012. The housing needs of the urban poor have not been properly addressed in spite of the activities of government in housing delivery and private sector participation as well. This paper reviews the intervention of government in housing in India and critically examines the effect on the general populace, especially the urban poor.

Abstract: This paper seeks to identify the determinants of Chinese FDI in Europe, this is achieved via panel data analysis using transaction data of Chinese FDI from 2005 to 2019 to find the determinants. Our findings suggest that FDI restrictions will have a significant negative impact on FDI. In contrast, the number of patent applications positively impacts Chinese FDI, indicating seeking strategic assets, particularly technology and know-how. Moreover and interestingly, market seeking though the analog of GDPG / market growth will not significantly influence Chinese FDI decisions. Also, corruption controls, trade relations, and political stability appear not to be significant for Chinese investors. With the major determinants, it appears clear that technology seeking in strategic assets is the primary motivation behind Chinese acquisitions in Europe in recent years.

Abstract: The proper management of management expenses affects the operating efficiency of the insurance company as well as its claim settlement capacity. That is why the regulatory bodies enacted the laws to limit the maximum expense an insurance company can incur as its management expense including commission. Compliance with this management expense requirement of listed life insurance companies in Bangladesh is mandatory. This study observed the level of compliance with this legal requirement by five (5) listed insurance companies in Bangladesh.
