Abstract:Rapid acceleration of urbanization and industrialization in Bangladesh has been coupled with increasing environmental degradation. The present study was carried out to investigate the air, water and sediment quality which are degraded due to pollution load at Turag River. Gastec technique (Japanese origin) is used to determine the CO, CO2, NOx and SO2 concentration and the concentration range for CO: 2425-7635 μg/m 3, 82-652 μg/m 3 for NOx, 151.93-553.56 μg/m 3 for PM10 and 395-510 μg/m 3 for CO2.Atomic absorption spectrophotometer technique is used for the determination of Cr, Pb, Zn, Cu and Cd because of their potential toxicity.......
