Abstract: The piece of investigation is carried out to study the water quality and suitability of Jaisamand Lake, Alwar for irrigation and drinking purpose. This study is done during 2015-16 to assess seasonal variations in the water of the lake by observing different physicochemical and microbiological parameters viz. temperature, pH, total hardness, total dissolved solids, dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand, free CO2, alkalinity, chloride, nitrate, SPC, TCC, and FCC in different seasons of the year.............

Abstract: Physical modeling dispersion experiments were carriedout under simulated Atmospheric Boundary Layers, which represents the center of large city, in the near-field of roadway in the Environmental Wind Tunnel for single storied buildings model arrangement. Experiments were carried out for a geometric model scale of 1:100, which represents a real building's height of 3.5 m ie single storied buildings. Abstract: This research work investigates the variation of vitamin C in some fruits: guava, (psidium guajava), orange (citrus sinensis) pineapple, (ananas comosus) and apple (malus pumila), and vegetables: tomato (lycopersicum esculentum), okra (abelmoschus esculentus), red pepper (capsicum annuum) and green pepper (capsicum annuum) at prolonged storage by titrimetric method using dichlorophenolindophenol (DCPIP) titrant. Abstract: Aquatic macroinvertebrate assemblage at Thol Bird Sanctuary corresponding to different habitats was assessed. The habitat was sub-divided into, two sites S1 (a macro habitat selected with vegetated association with minimal human intervention) located with tree cover. Other sampling stations S2 (fringe area sediments with high human intervention) was impacted in various ways. A total no. of 414 specimens was collected from both the sites. Diversity indices observed for S1 was H=5.53 and for S2 was H=5.07 and Simpson's index for S1 was D=0.94 and S2 was D=0.93. There was no significant difference between both the sites (p<0.05).

Abstract: In recent years large scale agricultural expansion, accompanied by clearcutting of large tracts of forest has been taking place in the Central Belize Corridor region of Belize. Biological corridors are landscapes that connects habitats, facilitates movement of animals and maintains ecological process connectivity. Dung beetles of the subfamily Scarabaeinae are important indicator species often used to study the effects anthropogenic activities on habitats,as they are sensitive to alteration of habitats. They provide important ecological services byutilizing dung or carrionfor food andfor breeding purposes. Abstract: Phytoaccumulation and bioextraction potentials of Chrysopogon zizanioides during bioattenuation of hydrocarbon contaminated soils was studied to assess accumulation and partitioning of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) and insoluble asphaltene in the plant tissues. Experimental design was Split-Split Plot (3 x 4 x 2). Main plot factors were crude oil contamination (3 levels), sub-Plot factors were soil amendments (4 levels), sub-sub-Plot factors were plant tissues (2 levels). Abstract: Artificial structures such as pier, pilings, floating pantoons, breakwaters made of boulders and seawall are becoming common features of landscape in shallow coastal waters. Present case study is focused on the distribution and abundance of fauna and flora growing along the vertical range in the artificially deployed boulders in the pondichery coast. A clear zonation pattern in the flora and faunal distribution has been noticed. Totally 23 species representing 21 genera are recorded. It is also noticed Ligia sp.........

Abstract: Time needed to measure environmental impact varies according to the field (economic, financial, health, education, social, ..) and to the subject (project, policy, disease, program, ..) . The aim of this work was determining time duration needed to assess environmental impact of water shortage. Water share in Jerash governorate is only 71 litres per day per person, which is very low. Abstract: Artificial reefs (ARs) have been established in Malaysian fisheries waters since 1975 using various materials such as discarded tyres, derelict and confiscated fishing vessel, reinforced concrete, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), fiberglass reinforce concrete (FRC), fiberglass, ceramic, combination of several materials (reef balls) as well as abandon oil platform. PulauPayar's ARs project started in October 1975 shortly after the first ARs built in Malaysia at the PulauTelur, Kedah.
