Abstract: The pollution of the aquatic environment with heavy metals has become a worldwide problem in recent years, due to their recalcitrant nature and most of them have toxic effect on living organisms The study was aimed at determining the concentration of some selected heavy metals namely; Manganese, Iron, Copper and Zinc (Mn, Fe, Cu and Zn) in Tilapia zilli, Synodontis nigrita and Clarias gariepinus from Tagwai dam using standard methods. sample were blended into fine powder and sieved for digestion.
