Abstract: Importance of safe drinking water at a time of global health challenges cannot be overemphasized. Gidan Dare and Gidan Igwai are suburb of Sokoto Metropolitan city in Nigeria and is very vulnerable to waterborne diseases. Comparative physiochemical analysis of well water samples from Gidan Dare and Gidan Igwai areas in Sokoto City were carried out. AAS, Flame Photometry as well as classical analytical methods were employed in this research. Physicochemical parameter analyzed includes; colour, temperature, odour, pH, conductivity, turbidity, total hardness, total suspended solid, total dissolved solid, chemical oxygen demand, and alkalinity. Metals such as Na, K, Pb, Cr, were also analyzed........
