Abstract: This research was conducted to assess physicochemical parameters and heavy metals in mangrove sediment and vegetation (leaves) around Awoba Flow Station in Bille, Rivers State. Samples were collected from four sampling transects laid on the North, South, West and East axes of the flow station and a control location about 200km away from the flow station in the wet and dry season months. Heavy metals were determined using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Data were analysed using the multivariate analysis of SPSS statistical package.The results showed Mn in leaves ranged from 55.6388mg/kg to 26.9675mg/kg, Mg in leaves recorded around the flow station were.......

Abstract: Background: Wildfire is the most common natural disturbance on the planet, posing a social and environmental risk. Studying wildfires' spatial and temporal distribution provides a scientific basis for effective management strategies. Materials and Methods: Using moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer fire anomalies data, we analyzed the spatial and temporal patterns of wildfires within the MasitoUgalla Ecosystem from 2008 to 2019. Descriptive statistics tool from IBM SPSS 26 was used to examine the temporal patterns, while by using kernel density and Hot Spot Getis-Ord Gi* tools of Arc GIS, we determined the magnitude (density) and identified hot and cold spot zones throughout the Masito-Ugalla Ecosystem.......

Abstract: Among underlying causes associated to stunting, is unhealthy domestic environment includedindoor air pollution justifying this study. This is a retrospective cross-sectional study, in which we did a secondary analysis on datafrom West African Economic and Monetary Union member states' Demographic and Health Surveyto assess relationship between indoor air pollution and stunting among children under five. Questions relating to indoor air degradation factors have been used to create a composite indicator of pollution("Household level of air pollution").Occurrence of stunting varies but remains high: 33.0% (Burkina Faso), 31.4% (Benin), 29.0% (Ivory Coast) 26.3% (Togo) 16.5% (Senegal).
