Abstract: The focus of the research was to assess the diversity and composition of algae in the community mosque lake of Jahangirnagar University campus. The research was conducted between December 2021 and August 2022. In order to carry out the investigation, 72 different samples of water were analyzed. The level of diversity was evaluated using both the Shannon and Simpson diversity indices. A total of 38 genera belonging to 7 classes (Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Cryptophyceae, Dinophyceae, and Xanthophyceae) were found. Chlorophyceae made up 52% of the total generic percentage composition, which was followed by Bacillariophyceae (21%) and Euglenophyceae.....
