Abstract: Background: Weaning from mechanical ventilation is a process that signals a change in the interaction between the ventilator and the patient, this process aimed to decrease ventilatory support and thus require the patient to enhance the ability of the patient to support their oxygenation and/or ventilation needs. Abstract: The continuous use of the computer and new information technologies is becoming indispensable in the hospital, which can be a great challenge for nursing, since it is necessary to learn new skills for the provision of care. The present study is a quantitative, descriptive and cross - sectional approach, based on data analysis of 30 questionnaires applied to employees of several sectors of a large health institution located in Vale do Paraíba, with the purpose of characterizing the socio - demographic profile of professionals Of nursing of a specific hospital institution, to identify the use of the computer in the routine of the hospital nursing practice and to evaluate the impact of the use of the computer on patient.............

Abstract: Background: Drug abuse and addiction is one of the major public health problems affecting adolescents. Promoting knowledge, attitudes and preventive behaviors of drug abuse and addiction among adolescents can play crucial role in reducing this health problem.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of an educational intervention based on the PRECEDE- PROCEED model on knowledge, behaviors and attitudes of adolescent students regarding drug abuse and addiction.

Abstract: Quasi experimental one group pre test and post test design was used to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme. The sample size was 60 were selected by using convenience sampling technique. Pretested structured interview schedule on knowledge, attitude scale was used for data collection. Analysis was done SPSS package 21 version.
The study findings in the pre-test revealed that majority (41.7%) had moderate knowledge, (35.0%) had inadequate knowledge, (23.3%) had adequate knowledge and post test knowledge majority (46.7%) had adequate knowledge whereas, (35.0%) had moderate knowledge and (18.3%) had inadequate knowledge on health promoting practices.............

Abstract: Background: incentives are an essential factor that affecting health workers performance to work hard and efficiently. The study aimed to identify the types of incentives (financial and moral) and to investigate the impact of incentives on physician performance. Materials and methods: a descriptive cross-sectional was conducted to achieve study objectives. 180 physicians working in pediatric hospital was included in the study. Abstract: Background: Perinatal transmission of HIV/AIDS also known as Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS is the most prevalent source of pediatric HIV infection. Objective: Therefore, this case-control study was designed to investigate the knowledge and use of antiretroviral drugs in prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS amongst HIV infected and uninfected patients. Settings: The study was carried out in Okwe General Hospital in Asaba. Methods: A case-control study was conducted among 50 HIV infected and 46 HIV uninfected patients; using simple random and purposive sampling techniques. Abstract: Objective:-To determine the outcomes of Instructional programon Nurse/ Midwife Knowledge Concerning Genital warts.
Methods:-Adescriptive analytic study was conducted on a purposive sample of (100) nurses and midwives who is working at Al-KarkhMaternity Hospital , data was collected from 2 February to 10 April 2017.Determination of validity and reliability through the pilot study of (10) of nurses and midwives. Descriptive and inferential statistic was used to analyze the data.
Results:-The finding of the study shows the highest percentage of study sample (19%)within age group (20-24) years ,(47%) was married, half of them are graduated from midwifery secondary school, (42%) have less than one years' experience and work in maternity............

Abstract: Background: Many women suffer from perineal trauma during vaginal delivery. Perineal trauma is mostly associated with pain and serious long life complications. Consequently, prevention of perineal trauma become an urgent need. This study aimed to compare the effect of warm compresses versus lubricated massage during the second stage of labour on perineal outcomes among primiparous women. Abstract: The article deals with key competences of nurses in elderly patient education and counselling. The aim is to classify the level of key competences of nurses in elderly patient counselling and the way of reflecting these variables in the reality of clinical practice. Knowledge and skills of nurses in elderly patient counselling belong to observed variables. Another goal of the paper is to find out how nurses are provided with support for planning, implementing and evaluating the quality of elderly education in practice.
