Abstract: Background: Pregnancy is one of the most serious periods in women's lives. The state of pregnancy is characterized by physical, hormonal and psychological changes which profoundly affect women's sexuality. The aim: to assess female sexual function during pregnancy. Design: A descriptive design was used. Setting: This study was conducted at the antenatal care unit in Helwan general hospital. Sample: A purposive sample of 240 pregnant women was recruited and equally divided into first, second and third trimester.
