Title | : | "Hedging With a Stock Option" |
Country | : | Bangladesh |
Authors | : | Afzal Ahmad |
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to provide a discussion of the use of stock options in risk management and how they can be used for hedging purposes. This aim is achieved by reviewing the literature and analysing practical hedging examples in the context of an investment company. The results of the discussion show that stock options can be employed by companies as a protection against the downside risk when volatility in the market is high. They can also be used during the periods of low volatility to achieve a specific expected payoff within a band of stock prices.

Title | : | Spiritual Marketing in Abhaneri: Case Study of Harshad Mata Temple |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Alka Jain |
Abstract: In ancient era, devotees used to go to the temple and donate some part of their income to get spiritual satisfaction or 'punya' in Hindi. In modern, materialistic world of today, such donations are treated as revenue of the temple and spiritual satisfaction is treated as the end service provided by the priests or care takers of a temple. This altered treatment with our spiritual behavior is termed as 'spiritual marketing' by modern economists.India is a developing economy facing this change in treatment of our spirituality also.Amazingly India's spiritual and religious market is estimated to be over $30 billion. Thus each and every temple/religious place of the country has become an operating unit of this spiritual industry and contributes to its revenue. This transformation is affecting all the religions of Indian populationin this modern era of online Prasad, online 'Katha' telling and online darshana. Originality and truth of spirituality seems dwindling in the country .

Title | : | Performance Appraisal of the Pradhan Mantra Jan Dhan Yojna |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sonam Kumari Gupta |
Abstract: Even after 68 years of independence, a large portion of the Indian population still remains excluded from the banking net. In recent years the Government and Reserve Bank of India has been pushing the concept and idea of financial inclusion. The Financial Inclusion Plan aims at providing easy access to the financial services to those sections of the society who are deprived of it so far at affordable cost thereby bringing them into the mainstream financial sector. RBI set up the Khan Commission in 2004 to look into financial inclusion and the recommendations of the commission were incorporated into the mid-term review of the policy (2005–06) and urged banks to review their existing practices to align them with the objective of financial inclusion.

Title | : | Value Addition and Performance of Informal Dairy Enterprises in Kenya: A Product Diversification Perspective |
Country | : | Kenya |
Authors | : | Ann N. Kariuki || Mike A. Iravo || John M. Kihoro |
Abstract: The informal dairy sector in Kenya has undergone a tremendous transformation from being an illegal enterprise to its legalization and adoption of "formal" status as from 2007. Questions have been raised on whether a smallholder dominated economy can diversify and whether smallholders participate significantly in product diversification towards high value products. Results of the study showed that small scale milk vendors (SSMVs) have the ability to diversify into high value dairy products which attract higher profits compared to raw fresh milk.

Title | : | Adoption Of The Prepaid Electricity Meter Billing System By Harare Residents: Was There Some Preference To Conventional Meters? |
Country | : | Zimbabwe |
Authors | : | Clever Vutete |
Abstract: The town centres and urban residents in Zimbabwe complained of being unfairly charged electricity bills, since estimating methods were used for billing. The electricity board could benefit from non-supply of electricity during load shedding and cut offs. The residents were happy when the prepaid meters were installed in their homes as they perceived it as a fair deal. There was, however, a decline of the rate of uptake for these new meters in 2013, 2014 and at the start of 2015. The study wanted to establish whether electricity customers were thinking about reverting to the conventional contract meters or remain with the conventional method. The study considered a random sample of 65 residents from Waterfalls and Hatfield medium density suburbs. The study compared the perceptual differences of residents on the prepaid meter billing system and the conventional meter billing system.

Title | : | Corporate Re-Branding Opportunities for a Uniformed Force: A Case of Zimbabwe Republic Police. |
Country | : | Zimbabwe |
Authors | : | Clever Vutete || Christopher Vutete |
Abstract: Though corporate branding principles were applied with much success in resuscitating the image and reputation of private sector firms, few examples were done for the Zimbabwean public sector, and the uniformed forces in particular. With the media and society portraying negative brand labels on the Zimbabwe Republic Police on aspects like corruption, poor relations with residents and causing accidents in cities, there is need to analyse these perceptions and recommend a rebranding strategy for our important social service organisation. A positive reputation for ZRP is critical for our national pride and economic development. In analysing these perceptions, a quota sample of 147 adult citizens selected from the Harare Metropolitan province was used.

Authors | : | Mr. Kishor Kumar Aroor || Mr. Madhukara Nayak || Prof. Er.U.Sai Krishna |
Abstract: Now a day's manufacturing systems have become continuously complex with the introduction of new technologies and are more costly to operate and maintain. The manufacturing systems are often operated at less than their full capacity, resulting in low productivity and high operating costs. In today's global economy, the survival of companies are depends on their ability to rapidly innovate and improve. As a result, an increasing search is for methods and processes that drive improvements in quality, costs and productivity. TPM is a one such standard philosophy, which emphasizes proactive and preventative maintenance to maximize the operational efficiency of equipment.
