Title | : | Family SME: Strategy and Performance of the Teams |
Country | : | Morocco |
Authors | : | Soumaya DLIMI |
Abstract:The brutality of the current crisis and the events which knows the Arab world constitute for the companies a real testing period compared to their strategic choices. Family SME (Small and medium-sized enterprise) often suffered from a negative image. But today, its weight is not any more to dispute (Allouche and Aman, 2000, Kenyon –Rouvenez and Ward, 2004). Its raison becomes the research of sustainability, of share the overlap of the sphere "family" and the sphere "undertaken", which creates dependences and emotional and financial interdependences. However, we have to admit that the sustainability of the family company refers to the strategy, to the capacity to be competitive, and to hold a successful team, which can precisely assure to him this sustainability.

Title | : | Financial Ratios Analysis And The Impact Of Earning Potential Ratios Of A Company On Its Market Price Of Stock - A Study On Pharmaceutical And Chemical Industries Of Bangladesh |
Country | : | Bangladesh |
Authors | : | Shamsun Arefin || Tahura Pervin |
Abstract:This paper shows the magnitude and impact of financial performance on its stock price of a company having three earning potential variables-Earnings-per-share (EPS) and Net asset value per share (NAVPs) and Return on Common stock Equity (ROCE). Study contains sector wise analysis on these variables using mean, standard deviation, correlation and multivariate regression techniques for making and drawing a conclusion. Reactions of the stock price as the consequence of the movement of the micro and macroeconomic factors is strongly supported by the literature review. We have taken only three earning potential ratios to test the impact on market price of stock. Multiple regression analysis is conducted to find out the relationship among different variables with the stock price per share. In this study an insignificant linear relationship among market price and such factors like EPS, NAVPs and ROCE of pharmaceutical and chemical industries are found at 95 percent level of significance.

Title | : | Survey of Investors Regarding Financial Literacy: AnEmpiricalStudy of Selected Cities of Punjab |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Ravi Inder Singh |
Abstract:Financial literacy refers to the competency of an individual in taking efficient and effective financial decisions. In the present set up, management of finances have become highly challenging due to high degree of volatility seen in the various fundamental economic parameters. One of the critical factors which determine the pace of economic development of a nation is the level of financial literacy attained by its residents. Awareness of the residents will affect the allocation of resources amongst the various industrial sectors. Moreover as stated by Wolcott and Hughes(1999) "financial hardship can increase isolation, emotional stress, depression and lower self-esteem, which, in turn, can generate or exacerbate marital tensions" that lead to divorce. Therefore, an attempt was made in this study to examine the financial behavior of the respondents and also to check their level of financial knowledge. It was found that most of the respondents, who were investors, though expressed that they always feel concerned about their financial resources, though they expressed that they act in an economical manner while meeting their financial needs but it was found that the level of financial knowledge possessed by them was much below the expected level, no respondent could score more than 60% score and more than 90% respondents scored less than 50% marks. Respondents were found to lack financial knowledge about the very basic concepts like the nature of relationship between risk and return, 64% of the respondents could not give correct reply to the kind of relationship between diversification and risk, around 45% respondents didn't understand the nature relationship between rate of inflation and the rate of return. It was found that senior people, people with higher income and people who took formal training in management of funds have better financial knowledge.

Title | : | A Critical Analysis of the Ethics of Marketing Used By Publius According To Various Ethical Theories |
Country | : | Malaysia |
Authors | : | Ng Chin Hock || Mohammed Salleh || Yuk Fong Chin |
Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to analyse the ethics of marketing used by Publius using various ethical theories. It is concluded that certain important aspects of ethics seems to be ignored by Utilitarianism. According to Justice and the consideration of Rights, until marketers of Publius publicly state their stand, there is no way user of Publius software will be safe, escape censorship or even be brought to court if he or she is caught by the relevant repressive government authorities who really mean business. Creators of Publius should not in any way suggest or act to say that no one can censor or track down the user. They can be traced and traced to the original users. In this way, people will not be disillusioned when they discover that the repressive governments or authorities can still track down on the users, perhaps not instantly, but surely in due time. Perhaps some technology could be made to spot-check on the misuse of such software and the criminals brought to court, like introducing parallel user-checks on the criminals, child abusers, hackers, terrorists or the email virus-punks. It is true that this Publius could fall into the wrong hands, especially the perpetrators of crimes – terrorists, child pornographers, hackers, cyber attackers – and the military-led governments. Henceforth, clear terms and conditions should be properly stated and printed for their understandings and use. At the same time, software, running in tandem with this software programme might greatly help to track down those abusers of this software. Once alerted, they should be immediately channelled to the relevant authorities to have them prosecuted in court.

Title | : | Support Networks amongst SAARC and Other Littoral States of the Indian Ocean |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Rahul Basu |
Abstract:Most SAARC countries are near the Indian Ocean and are dependent on its resources for Trade, fishing, agriculture and Tourism. Their climate and weather patterns are affected by the Monsoons which originate over the ocean mass and move on to land and back annually. Besides Global Warming and heavy rainfall there are dangers to life and business through floods, Tsunamis and cyclones. Suitable warning systems which are coordinated can give member states advance notification of any impending disasters originating in the ocean areas. Another area of cooperation is in the Renewable energy field. Wind, solar and tidal energy networks can use the ocean as a storehouse of energy. Island countries like Seychelles, Mauritius, can also come into the ambit of such ocean based networks which can be useful for Meteorology, Trade, Fisheries and Energy.

Abstract:Arnold Brecht (1967:57), one of the leading 20th century-political scientist, maintains that clarity and unambiguity of all terms and concepts used in a study are the first requirements of logical reasoning. It is against this background that the three academics have decided to examine systematically the concept of approaches which has been erroneously used interchangeably and synonymously with the concept of methods in the social sciences........
