Abstract: This study explores the evolving role of student agency in transforming traditional educational approaches to be more student-centered and empowering. A secondary-methods approach collects qualitative data on the benefits, influencing factors, implementation challenges, and role of technology regarding student agency. Findings indicate student agency boosts motivation, personalizes learning, develops 21st-century skills, and leads to educational systems becoming more flexible and responsive to individual student needs.
