Abstract: This paper presents the implementation of a soft-switching boost dc-dc converter. Passive soft-switching is employed due to its advantages over the active soft-switching and its ability to reduce switching losses. A Laplace transform-based analysis of the converter circuit was carried out to obtain design information which was already published. A complete circuit of the soft switching PWM dc-dc converter prototype is also presented here. Experimental results obtained from the prototype agree closely with the predicted results and this demonstrates the feasibility of the system.

Abstract: Induction motors do not run at synchronous speed, they are generally fixed speed motors. In Industries mechanical loads should not only be driven but should also be driven at desired speed. Therefore, the need of speed control methods for induction motor arises.There are various methods of speed control for an induction Motor. In this paper literature reviews on different speed controlmethods and their performance based on SPWM Inverter, harmonics reduction and speed-torque characteristics so as to analyze the most effective techniques among them considering the presence of harmonics as well as minimization of odd harmonics through Inverter.

Abstract: The proliferation of sensitive equipment and non-linear loads atbothindustrial and domestic environment is extremely higher nowadays. This invariably contributes immensely topower quality issues on electric power system network and this indeed is a subject of concern among power system researchers since the world is aiming at ensuring clean, stable and quality electric power supply. Abstract: The temperature of vehicle exhaust is high which carries off about 40 percent of the engine's total energy. Thermoelectric generation technology can convert waste thermal energy into electric energy for recovery and utilization. This paper introduces the basic principle of Vehicle exhaust thermoelectric generator.Optimizes the structure of heat exchanger and topology of thermoelectric module.Establishes the mathematical model of output power and conversion efficiency that is related to resistance ratio and surface length ratio.By simulation analysis, obtained the condition of maximum value of output power and conversion efficiency.

Abstract: Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) method in this research is used to solve the problem of Economic Dispatch on 150 kV electrical system of South, Southeast, and West Sulawesi (Sulselrabar). As a comparison, Lagrange method is also used. Case studies used include peak loads in both daytime and nighttime. The ACO algorithm looks for an economical thermal generation combination. In this economic dispatch, which serves, as an objective function is the cheapest cost of generation. From the optimization results for the first case of peak of daytime load, ACO generates a total generation cost of IDR 94,670,335.98 per hour to generate power of 270,309 MW with losses of 25,918 MW. Meanwhile, by using the Lagrange method, it provides a total generation cost of IDR 117,121,631.08...........

Abstract: In a global economy subject to changing dynamics and ever increasing competition, the role of brands has never been greater. They serve as a route map for purchasing behaviour and when managed well, are able to accrue significant value to their owners. The value to businesses of owning strong brands is widely acknowledged. Therefore brands that can keep their promise are able to build loyal consumers who become faithful buyers over a long period time. Abstract: This paper present the simulation analysis of BLDC motor fed solar water pumping system using zeta convertor. In order to extract maximum power from SPV array for intermediate DC-DC convertor using an incremental conductance maximum power point technique. The main advantages of Zeta convertor like soft starting of BLDC motor and low ripple at the output voltage etc. The output of zeta convertor is given to three phase voltage source invertor via DC link capacitor for driving BLDC motor and centrifugal water pump is coupled to the shaft of BLDC motor which act as a load. The size of proposed system is selected such that, the performance not affected under dynamic condition. The performance under various operating condition is analyze and suitability of proposed system is demonstrated using MATLAB/Simulink software..

Abstract: The widespread use of power electronics devices such as inverter, rectifier, and so on. in power systems causes severe problems linked to power quality. The widespread use of nonlinear single-phase power electronic devices in the low voltage side has increased harmonic pollution in power systems to the large extent. One such problem is the generation of current and voltage harmonics causing the distortion of load waveform, heating of equipment, voltage fluctuation, voltage dip, etc. This paper provides a detailed study of shunt active power filter under two current control strategies, namely, p–q and d–q; their comparative analyses are performed to determine which method is better than the other. Abstract: PDAM Kota Malang (Malang City Regional Water Supply Company) has several pumping stations that operate the water pump motors 24/7 with no breakdown period, while others operate the motors in rolling breakdown timing. Abstract: Due to centralized power system and continuous varying nature of load it is very difficult to balance demand and generation at all time. It is due to the fact that generation can't be controlled with the same pace as load due to restriction in instantaneous change in input to power plant. Many different techniques have been proposed in the past for the purpose of short term load forecasting.In this paper a literature survey of load forecasting techniques is presented so as to compare different work that has happened previously.
