Abstract: In the era of economic growth and globalization, the importance of English cannot be denied since it serves as is the most spoken globally language. As a result, global integration forces speakers to use English effectively in all aspects of social life. Of all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), speaking is considered as the most important of all because the target of every language is for communication, which is particularly expressed by the spoken channel. In this paper, we present the theories related to motivation and highlight the importance of using pictures as a motivation in language learning in general and in teaching and learning speaking skill in particular. Besides, it gives out suggested methodologies and activities using visual aids to motivate students speak up in speaking class. Some pedagogical implications of the study are discussed for learning and teaching speaking to second or foreign language learners.

Abstract: The article focused on Perceived Errors among English Language Learners. Every language has rules that guide it usage and applications in communication. The English language as one of the languages across the globe has rules to be observed by the users in its usage. The rules are collectively called grammatical rules. Deviations from these lay down grammatical rules is also called errors. The errors are committed by users when he/she deviates from the agreement of the subject and verb veisa. The article indicates that errors among learners of the English language occur in the following areas; concords misuse of prepositions, wrong use of punctuations and other grammatical errors in the use of the English language. The errors can also occur as a result of inexperienced and unqualified teachers teaching English language to the learners. Conclusion of this paper was drawn based on the variables discussed. Recommendations were made in line with the ideas on the article.

Abstract: Depression is one of the most common psychological problems in the elderly and if not handled properly will have an impact on the quality of life of the elderly. One effort to treat depression in the elderly can be done by providing guidance. This study aims to to identify the effectiveness of Islamic-based group guidance on depression level in the elderly. This research is a quantitative research using quasi experiment design with Non Equivalent control group in 11 intervention group respondents and 11 control group respondents. Abstract: This paper focused on Critical environmental variables; Predictors of students' academic achievement in literature in secondary schools in Ebonyi State. The study was a descriptive survey research. Stratified simple random sampling technique was used to select 240 teachers of literature and languages in 32 schools, 16 schools each from rural and urban schools. A 4 likert structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The title of the questionnaire was Predictors of Literature Achievement Questionnaire. (PLAQ) The instrument was subjected to face and content validation by experts in the field using Cronbach method in a test retest and an index of 0.89 was realized as reliability of the instrument.
