Abstract: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease; also commonly known as wear and tear arthritis, is a condition in which the natural cushioning between joints cartilage wear away. When this happens, the bones of the joints rub more closely against one another with less of the shock-absorbing benefits of cartilage. The rubbing results in pain, swelling, stiffness, decreased ability to move and, sometimes, the formation of bone spurs. Osteoarthritis of knee is the most common type of arthritis. While it can occur even in young people, the chance of developing osteoarthritis rises after age 45. According to the Arthritis Foundation, most of the populations have osteoarthritis, with the knee being one of the common affected areas. Women are more likely to have osteoarthritis than men...............

Abstract: When the pedagogical discourse is analyzed from the philosophical hermeneutics, the dialectic of question and answer acquires diverse senses related to the mode of learning. For this reason, the study was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the meaning, structure and fusion of horizons of the pedagogical question as a quest process during the student's learning. Initially, a horizon of understanding was constructed through the coordinates proposed by Heidegger (point of view, direction of the gaze and horizon of sight), and the constructivist educational tradition...............

Abstract: The aim of this work is to study the pathway in which the English language has been through, to analyze the predictions concerning to he future of the language, the number of speakers, its consequences for other languages, including aspects of cultural imperialism and to observe how these impacts will reflect on the teaching of the language itself. These objectives were pursued through the reading of theoretical conceptions, after done that it is proper to assume that the English language will, in some years, become an International Language with more second languages speakers than the native ones, and up to now there is no other language that may rival English in it´s role of "Lingua Franca".

Abstract: Continuous low academic achievements records of students from low socio-economic backgrounds in secondary schools particularly in science, social science and art subjects is a threat to national development. Proper understanding of the issues involved must be explored in order to address the problem globally and more so in developing countries. The present study investigated the influence of parents' socio-economic status on academic performance of students in secondary schools in Owerri Education Zone, Imo State, Nigeria. A descriptive research design was employed. The population of 38,700 students in SS II in the sampled Local Government Areas was used and 387 students...........

Abstract: Generative and Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) are two kinds of learning model thatcan improve learners' higher order thinking skill (HOTS). The purpose of this study was to point out the best model to improve learners' HOTS. For this purpose, a quasi-experiment was done in 7 Malang Indonesia Senior High School. Twogroups of tenth grades learnerswere selected by random sampling method. Generative learning model was applied to the first group, while CORE learning model was applied to the second group. Learners' HOTS were measured by the test which made based on HOTS indicators. Before starting the program, each group took a pre-test.

Abstract: Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) using Schlumberger electrode configuration was employed in the determination of underground resistivity as well as to determine the thickness, depth and aquiferous zone in parts of Wilberforce Island Bayelsa State. A total of five Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) were obtained using the Schlumberger electrode array configuration with maximum current electrode spacing of 400-500m. The data obtained was interpreted using computer assisted interpretation software (IPI2win) which showed that the area is composed of topsoil, clay, sand, clayey sand, sandy clay, medium coarse sand and fine coarse sand.Various geosounding curves were obtained at the various stations.............

Abstract: Given the fact that teacher-centred language pedagogies prevail in many school settings, initial teacher education programmes should empower trainees to become learner-centred professionals, which includes their ability to develop learner-centred materials. However, not much is known about how those programmes incorporate materials development with a view to promote learner autonomy. This paper presents a small-scale qualitative study in a university programme that prepares teachers of English as a foreign language for secondary schools............

Abstract: Background: Despite their obvious clinical importance, the physiological functions of ABO blood group antigens remain a mystery. An association between blood type and cancer was initially suggested through the observation that stomach cancer patients were more likely to have blood type A than control subjects. A variety of other cancers have since been linked to ABO blood group but the associations generally have been inconsistent. Aims of the study: To identify any association between blood grouping and Rh type with Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and the outcome of disease.............

Abstract: The importance of technology and its adoption has widely turned out to be a norm in the conventional classroom for both teachers and learners. Preliminary researches have shown that educational institutions have adopted Information Communication Technology (ICT) in their teaching/learning process. There are many researches that have been conducted to find out the level of students' awareness on the use of ICT tools, and the factors affecting ICT diffusion on the part of the students' education. The study was conducted at the Information Technology (IT) Department of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in Northern Cyprus........
