ABSTRACT: Medicinal plants are the mainstay of modern medicine as their usehave been known and used for centuries. Aqueous extract of Piper guineense, Capsicum annuum, Monodora myristica, Allium sativum and Cinnamonum cassiaused as spices were synthesized into silver nanoparticles. Scanning electron micrograph, dispersive X-ray and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy of each spice-silvernitrate particle were evaluated. The antibacterial properties of each spice-silver nitrate nanoparticle(AgNPs)were evaluated on 4 bacteria namelySalmonella typhi, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis at varied concentrations of 80,40, 20 and 10 mg/mlon agar culture media. The SEM Figure/Picture shows that they are well dispersed with no agglomerations. EDX shows that there were AgNPSpresence. The FTIR shows the presence of some functional groups, wavelength and absorbance........

ABSTRACT: Blood smear stained with Giemsais considered as a gold standard for early diagnosis of hemoparasites, however, this technique is time consuming. It has low sensitivity in detecting mixed infections in endemic areas. The aim of this study is to overcome these problems through the use of new rapid modified stains (Rapid kit Giemsa, Cytochrome TM stain, and Acridine orange)and improveproperties of traditional Giemsa by using a mixture of Leishman-Giemsa, Giemsa-Acridine and Giemsa toluidine blue stainsto enhance the visibility of parasites in blood.Thick/thin blood smears were prepared from 60 suspected parasitemic cows.Microscopic examination was performed on each.....

ABSTRACT: Background: Medicago tunetana (Murb.) A.W. Hill is a perennial pastoral species endemic to Tunisia and Algeria of agronomic, ecological and economic interests. Materials and Methods: This work aims to evaluate the effect of active limestone on physiological and morphological growth parameters of three M. tunetana accessions collected from different geographical regions from Western North Tunisia (Makthar, Thala and Sekiet Sidi Youssef) including leaf number, stem height, internodes length, leaflet length, and chlorophyll content. For this purpose, a pot assay was conducted following a randomized complete block design under greenhouse conditions. Plants were subjected to seven active limestone levels (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30%)......

ABSTRACT: In the department of Guidan-Roumdji in Niger, rural populations relyheavily on woody plant resources to meet-theirdailyneeds. This study, conducted in villages in Dogon-Farou, Dandaji-Makaw de Koki, aims to inven-toriervulnerablewoodyspecies, and to identifythosethatadapt best in the mid-place of study. The data collection methodologyconsisted of a floristicinventory at the level of 191 places in different types of land use and ethno-botanicalsurveys on a sample of 108 households. The studyfoundthat, according to the perception of respon-dents, the use of firewood (30%) and crafts.....

ABSTRACT: Financial and economic profitability of improved niebe production technologies In Niger, cowpea Vignaunguiculata(Walp.) is the second crop after millet and is a source of food and income for producers. Unfortunately, in recent years crop yields have remained low, varying between 297 to 332 Kg / ha. To cope with this, this legume has seen the intervention of several development projects with the implementation of the "farmer field school" process for the improvement of its production with several improved technologies such as improved varieties.....

ABSTRACT: The problems of increasing plant productivity are among the leading at the present stage of human development. Most often, chemicals are used to achieve this goal, which leads to a deterioration in the environmental situation. An alternative is the use of physical means, in particular the use of laser systems to stimulate plants. One of the most promising areas is the use of LED lasers, which at the same radiation power have smaller dimensions and use much less energy than He-Ne or other lasers. The results of studies of the influence of seed irradiation Cucumis sativus L. are presented in the paper. cv Cornish Paris LED lasers emitted red (wavelength 635 nm) and blue (wavelength 405 nm) light. Irradiation was carried out according to the scheme of a complete factor experiment, which made it possible to detect the action of each of the light sources and.....

ABSTRACT: This research was carried out to know factors affecting participation of rice farmers in tidal land on rice farmer insurance program (RFIP) in Aluh-aluh district, Banjar Regency. 60 farmers of wetland rice in tidal land were chosen to be respondents of this research. To analyze factors influencing the participation of farmers in the Rice Farming Insurance Program (RFIP) this research uses binary logistic regression model. Based on the logistic regression model 5 the characteristics of the farmer's household characteristics affect the participation of farmers in the RFIP, which are: the education duration, the number of meetings attended by farmers, business land, rice farming income, and the risk of possible crop failure..
