Title | : | Les Canaux De Transmission De La Crise Des Subprimes Aux Pays Emergents : Cas De L'Economie Brésilienne |
Country | : | Tunisia |
Authors | : | Fatma Braham |

Title | : | Minimization of Risks and Enhancing Success Possibilitiesin ERP Projects: Few Ideas |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sushanta Sengupta |
Abstract: The success or failure of an ERP project is dependent on many a number of factors which come acrossduring its entire life cycle. Almost each and every ERP projects are some way or the other prone to some Risks. The risks are sometimes very much predictable and sometimes they are uncertain and we cannot foresee them in advance. As the time goes and the phases of the project come, new risks may creep into the project. These risks could be due to any sudden changes in the project requirements at any phase of a project or lack of planning in advance from project management side while starting the project. ERP projects themselves are very complex in nature involving a large numbers of modules to be implemented in good number of sites of an organization. It would encapsulate the entire supply chain, manufacturing, finance and HR side of a company involving different processes in different departments to be done by different persons. There could be involvement of good number of manufacturing sites and warehouse locations and corporate offices of a company geographically located at different locations of the world. An early and wise decision on best ERP package selection and implementation strategy followed by a robust project management plan can minimize the risks of a project and subsequently can enhance the possibility of its success.

Title | : | Shift Scheduling Model Designed to Level Workloads of Employees |
Country | : | Japan |
Authors | : | Kazuki Fujita || Kakuro Amasaka |
Abstract: This paper focuses on the staff shift scheduling problem on luxury hotel restaurant. Effective staff scheduling has always been a concern for restaurant managers. This paper addresses this issue by investigating the nature of restaurant jobs, ultimately proposing a Shift Scheduling Model designed to level workloads of employees in restaurant service at these establishments. This model creates shift schedules that minimize labor costs while measuring improvements in employee satisfaction as a result of equally distributed workloads among individual workers. Further, it does not rely on subjective personal experience or other unspoken rules that have traditionally guided the shift scheduling process. Specifically, the author conducted logistic research analysis based on data, such as sales results and day of the week, to create a model that estimates workload. Next, mathematical programming methods are used to create shift schedules designed to level the workload and minimize labor costs. The authors then make use of the insights gained through this process to verify the effectiveness of this Shift Scheduling Model, and obtain the desired results.

Title | : | Understanding the Consumer Behaviour towards Organic Food: A Study of the Bangladesh Market |
Country | : | Bangladesh |
Authors | : | Rushdi Ahmed || Khadiza Rahman |
Abstract: The market for organic food in Bangladesh is at an early stage and has huge opportunity of growth. There is rapid growth in the demand for healthy as well as tasty food products, which are safer than industrially produced goods, follow the rules regarding animal and environmental welfare, have a sustainable approach towards production and are also high in nutrition values. This paper presents results of a study conducted to identify and explain the factors that influence consumer buying behaviour of organic foods in Bangladeshi Supermarkets. The study follows a qualitative research approach with some overlapping of quantitative research methods, in order to establish a theoretical foundation on factors that influence consumer behaviour and then conducting a primary research and justifying the results against the theoretical findings. Majority of the participants of the survey questionnaire expresses that organic food is healthier than industrially manufactured food, they are high in nutrition, and perceives the organic production methods with a positive approach. The major problems identified through the research are lack of awareness and sufficient knowledge about organic food, lack of availability and limited range of products, high price and high regard for certification labelling. The influences of these factors are significant to alter consumer buying behaviour and can sometimes also act as deciding factors for purchase decisions.
