Abstract: Morgagni hernias are a rare form of congenital diaphragmatic hernias that account for 2-3 % of all types of diaphragmatic hernias 1. The herniation occurs through a defect in the Morgagni foramen, situated in the anterior part of the diaphragm 2. The contents of the abdomen herniate through this foramen. Usually, Morgagni hernia occurs very early in life, either a few hours after birth or during the antenatal period 3. Diagnosis of this condition is rare in the case of adults. We report a case of a 55-year-old female with a 6-month history of chronic recurrent cough and dyspnoea who has been treated with multiple courses of antibiotics for pneumonia but was later diagnosed with Morgagni hernia and treated accordingly.

Abstract: Introduction: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a common and challenging complication in patients with diabetes, often leading to pain, delayed wound healing, and in severe cases, limb amputation. This study aimed to assess the impact of platelet-rich plasma therapy on claudication pain and wound healing in diabetic patients with peripheral arterial disease. Methods: This single-center, observational study investigated the effects of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on pain reduction and wound healing in diabetic patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and foot ulcers. The study took........

Abstract: Introduction: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with its prevalence rising among younger adults. While traditionally considered a condition affecting older individuals, recent studies have highlighted an increasing incidence of ACS in younger populations, emphasizing the importance of identifying early risk factors. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of risk factors of ACS in young adults.....

Abstract: Objective: Weaning from mechanical ventilation (MV) requires a multidisciplinary care team. The Integrative Weaning Index (IWI) is a more objective measure compared to conventional methods, considering multiple system functions simultaneously. This study investigates the role of IWI in predicting successful weaning from MV. Material and Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted over twelve months at the Department of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive Care Medicine, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU),:.....

Abstract: Surgical removal of impacted teeth in the nasal floor poses a unique challenge due to their close proximity to vital structures. This case report describes the successful surgical removal of an impacted maxillary incisor from the nasal floor using a transoral approach. An 18-year-old male presented with missing right maxillary central incisor. Imaging studies revealed an obliquely impacted maxillary right central incisor crown appears to be placed labially in relation to upper right central incisor region extending beyond the floor of nasal cavity. The surgical procedure involved a transoral approach to access and remove the impacted maxillary incisor from the nasal floor. Intraoperative findings, technique, and postoperative care are detailed in the case report.

Abstract: Odontogenic cutaneous sinus tracts occurring in the facial and neck areas are uncommon and pose a diagnostic difficulty for clinicians due to their potential association with various conditions. This case report details the successful management of a non-healing odontogenic sinus tract in the chin area, which had previously been histopathologically diagnosed and treated as chromoblastomycosis. The patient was presented with a persistent sinus tract with purulent discharge that had not responded to previous treatments. A thorough clinical examination and.....
