Abstract: This paper concentrates on the current competition between man and artificial intelligence (AI) that has morphed into the tribal incantation of Darwin's natural selection, the survival of the fittest. AI supporters have advanced AI's dominance over man's intellect and judgment. Humanity must enhance the educators' intellectual leadership role to counter this preponderance view of AI's dominance. The academic measure of the educators must identify and define a curriculum that generates a cohesive collective of human productivity and learned spectrum. Even more importantly, to protect the existential intellectual breadth of future generations.

Abstract: Student fees for university programmes in Bangladesh have risen dramatically in recent years. This has been justified by the argument that such increases offer no economic disincentive to students seeking university admission. The present essay comments on that argument and finds several weaknesses in it. Fee increases may still be necessary, but this argument at least does not establish that they are innocuous.

Even though some interventions have been made based on the recommendations by earlier studies, the phenomenon of child streetism is still on the rise. This is a reflection of the inadequacies of the known causes of child streetism largely from the perspectives of the street children themselves. This study examines the impact of child neglect on the increasing rate of streetism, from the perspectives of the street children themselves as well as from significant adults, parents and/or guardians of street.....

Abstract: This study aims to assess the alignment between general practitioner (GP) education and the needs of primary health care (PHC). A review of existing literature was conducted to analyze current GP education across undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development stages. PHC concepts, scope, delivery models, quality and safety were also examined. Findings reveal gaps between competencies developed in GP education and those required for high-quality PHC provision. Mismatches center on care coordination, teambased care, health promotion, community orientation and cultural competence. Key recommendations include redesigning medical curricula to foster generalist competencies from early stages, incorporating interprofessional education opportunities, and designing targeted incentives and faculty development programs. Implementation of these suggestions can enhance the fit between GP preparation and PHC goals, thereby strengthening primary care.
