Abstract: Background: Collaborative learning(CL) is a shift away from the typical teacher-centered or lecture centered milieu in college classrooms. CL is an education approach to teaching and learning that involves groups of learners working together to solve a problem, complete a task, or create a product. Objectives: To study the impact of CL on academic performance and perception among I year MBBS students. Materials and Methods: Students were divided into two groups, study group (n=50) and control group (n=50). Pretest consisting of Multiple Choice Question's(MCQ's) and Short Answer Question's(SAQ's) were given to both the groups. The study group was exposed to the CL method. After the learning is over the post-test was given to both the groups. Focus group discussion was done.........

Abstract: A good future is the dream of every human being. In order to achieve a good future, education is the answer. A place where the process of formation of quality human resources is through a higher education institution, especially State Universities (PTN). Therefore, this study focuses on Student Achievement of Universitas Negeri Makassar class of 2014. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of learning achievement and credits that have been granted of class 2014 based on entry point, gender, school accreditation and source of cost. This comparison used a two population multivariate test as it consists of two dependent variables; GPA and Credits that........

Abstract: In this paper the author wishes to bring out some aspects of methodological reports on civics classes as part of educational research. This case study is conceptualised in an Intermediate School in India and it is rooted in the qualitative research traditions of grounded theory and the use of ideal types. This study highlights both the empirical and theoretical aspects of one specific case study by using methodologies in regards to the contextual factors and the students' academic and socio-economic factors influence the teaching-learning activities. A reflective pedagogy is used in this study that will be also commented.

Abstract: In 2nd year of the Moroccan baccalaureate SLE (Sciences of Life and Earth) and PC (Physics and Chemistry) branches, ModLet (the official analytical model of radioactive decay law) obstructs its teaching-learning. As an alternative, we propose a model of this law that we call ModL2t (model of radioactive decay law of base 2 powers), allowing pupils to build an intelligibility framework that easily links concepts of the space of reality to their mathematical modeling. Thus, exploratory and preliminary studies were carried out with a sample of sixteen pupils (17 to 20 years old). The activities were an alternation between collaborative work, individual work, and mobilization of ICT's part, especially, CSRDP200 (Checkerboard Simulation of Radioactive Decay of Polonium 200), the one we developed. The validation study was done with an LSE and a PC classes separately taken..........

Abstract: The industrial revolution in topicalera demands for drastic change in handling of educational studies. It expects cross combination of core skills providing the professional outcome deployable in the market. In line with the concept, this paper aims to present the comparative analysis of executing an engineering project using core knowledge group and interdisciplinary group. A case study is represented with evaluation parameters focusing upon the essence of collaborative learning. It is observed that, the cooperative environment helps to synthesize domain knowledge of connected disciplines which can cope with higher complexity and extended application facility. The project teams are further determined to note the scope of improvement across the defined objectives.

Abstract: Outcome based education (OBE) is student-centered instruction model that focuses on measuring student performance through outcomes. Outcomes include knowledge, skills and attitudes. An important component of OBE is the attainment of Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs) and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs).Criterion 3 of Self-Assessment Report (SAR) emphasize on attainment of COs, POs and PSOs.The correlation between CO-PO describes the level at which a particular PO is addressed through a CO. The correlation is justified based on number of sessions mapping. Direct and Indirect assessment tools are applied for measuring attainment of COs, POs and PSOs. The paper presents a simple yet robust approach followed for establishing correlation between CO-PO/PSOs; and for measurement of attainment of COs, POs and PSOs as per the guidelines of SAR..

Abstract: Test result of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (EOCD) (2015) showed that the result of critical thinking skills of Indonesian students are relatively low. The initial observation made by the researcher showed that students' low critical thinking skills at school is because the existing learning tools have not been able to facilitate students to develop their thinking skills, therefore it is necessary to develop lesson plan instruments that can facilitate the critical thinking skills. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the development of lesson plan instrument on life organizations subject matter by using guided inquiry models. This research was carried out in two stages namely the development stage which aims to develop lesson plan instrument following the 4-D design model from Thiagarajan (1974) it is also followed by the field testing with nonequivalent control group design. The subject of this research are seventh grade students of two schools..........
