Abstract: The purpose of this case report is to present an unusual endodontic periodontal lesion along with radix entomolaris in tooth 46 in a 31-year-old female patient with intermittent pain and sensitivity to hot and cold stimuli. Clinical examination revealed deep dentinal caries and periodontal pocket depth of 5mm in tooth #46.The radiographic examination revealed an extra distal root with a periapical radiolucency in tooth #46. patient was diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis and chronic apical periodontitis, with secondary periodontal involvement due to an endodontic-periodontal......

Abstract: This case report describes the orthodontic treatment of a 21-year-old Caucasian female patient with a Class III incisor relationship on a Class II skeletal base and increased vertical proportions. The patient presented with severe crowding in both upper and lower arches, gingivitis, molar incisors hypomineralization, and extensive caries in the LL6 tooth. She also exhibited decreased overjet, a complete overbite, and a significant shift in upper and lower dental midlines. The primary objective of treatment was to correct the malocclusion through orthodontic camouflage, which involved the extraction of upper and lower first premolars on the right side and first molars on......

Abstract: Background: Early childhood caries (ECC) is one of the most common diseases in early years of life. It is considered a serious public health problem. Though preventable, globally over 530 million children have decay in their primary teeth, and the condition is highly prevalent in both developed and developing countries. It has also been reported to have a close relationship with other systemic deficiencies. Materials and Methods: A systematic review on ECC and iron deficiency was done based on published articles in PubMed and......

Abstract: Introduction: acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to covid 19 can lead to the presence of pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum; rare but potentially fatal and is related to mechanical ventilation or the severity of the disease. Recently, cases of pneumomediastinum have been documented despite the use of different protective ventilation measures, without being clear about its origin or prognosis. Material and methods: descriptive, retrospective and single-center study in patients with covid 19 admitted to a second level hospital in the city of puebla during march 1, 2020 to march 1, 2021. Results: during the period from january 2020 to january 2021, 966 patients were admitted to hospital with a diagnosis of covid 19. 29.....

Abstract: Background: Deep bite is a common orthodontic malocclusion caused by factors like incisor supra-occlusion, molar infra-occlusion, or incisor angulation. Nonsurgical correction of deep bite involves extrusion of posterior teeth, intrusion of incisors, or both. Extrusion of posterior teeth in growing patients provides stable results due to secondary remodelling. In patients with deep bite and excessive gingival display, intrusion of incisors is typically required which can be accomplished using intrusion arches or mini-implants. Materials and Methods......

Abstract: Introduction: the paranasal sinuses are mucosa-lined structures physically contiguous with the nasal cavity that aid in insulation, reducing cranial weight, heating & humidifying the air, imparting resonance to the voice, providing airway defense and simply to replace functionless bone. Sinusitis is rarely life threatening, but the complex anatomy of the facial planes, the associated venous and lymphatic spread and the close location to the central nervous system can lead on to serious complications. It is, therefore, important to understand the normal anatomy......

Abstract: Electricity is the backbone for modern industrialization, development and day to day needs. Electrical Injuries are among the most devastating of burn injuries. High voltage electrical injuries result in extensive deep tissue damage and are associated with multiple complications and a high mortality rate. The passage of electric current through the body, produces wide range of effects, varying from insignificant localised spasm, little or no contact burns, or extreme severe burns. We describe the case of a 6-year-old child who suffered high voltage electric injury leading.....

Abstract: The most commonly used monolithic ceramics are lithium-disilicate and zirconium-dioxide ceramics. Lithium disilicate ceramics is the best choice for the reconstruction of front teeth because of the naturalness of the color and the translucency of the material. Zirconium-oxide ceramics have excellent mechanical properties and are most suitable for larger joint replacements in the area of strong dental forces. Case study of two patients. The first one has crowns made of monolithic lithium-disilicate ceramics in the frontal region, and the second patient has a crown made of monolithic translucent zirconium-dioxide ceramics. Monolithic fixed-prosthetic products successfully satisfy the patient's aesthetic and functional needs........

Abstract: Odontomas are benign mixed odontogenic tumours, considered to be developmental anomalies resulting from the growth of differentiated epithelial and mesenchymal cells. It is the most common benign odontogenic tumour, usually asymptomatic and are often discovered during routine radiographic examinations. It can occur at any age, but are most common in the first two decades of life. It is more commonly seen in the anterior maxilla and frequently cause delayed eruption of teeth or retention of primary teeth. Morphologically odontomas are classified as compound and complex odontomas, in which the former resembles teeth whereas the latter being an irregular mass........

Abstract: Alarming amount of reports from various parts of the world are coming in concern about increasing multidrug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Treatment options for which are limited and expensive, prescribed medicines are not always available, additionally the concomitant adverse effects of the drugs are almost inevitable. Thus, frequent research for the factors linked with multidrug resistant TB should be carried out to understand its prevalence and mechanism of spread. The present study observed 200 MDR-TB patients and observed their socio-economic and other factors. With a cross sectional study design, this study has been conducted in the National Institute of Disease of the Chest and Hospital during the period of January to December of the year 2019........
