Abstract: Enterprises are designed by entrepreneurs to succeed; success brings about growth and prosperity for the business owner/entrepreneur, for the employees and for all the business' stakeholders including suppliers, distributors, and service providers. Success factors must therefore, be properly investigated to develop quick win formula for entrepreneurs in start-ups and growing business concerns. Therefore, the objective of the study is to investigate entrepreneurial intention as a determinant of business success for the trainees on the techno-entrepreneurship development training programme at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi, Lagos, Nigeria. Abstract: This research studied the impact of Covid-19 pandemic during its second wave on Nigerian exchange rate from December 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. Foreign exchange data for the period was extracted from the web page of Central Bank of Nigeria while the number of confirmed cases and deaths from Covid-19 were obtained from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Based on results of pre-estimation tests, we used the ARDL technique to determine the short and long-run effects of Covid-19 on exchange rate for the period. Furthermore, Granger causality was used to test for the presence of causal relationship between the dependent and explanatory variables. Findings from our analyses revealed that COVID-19 confirmed cases and number of deaths have positively and significantly affected Nigerian exchange rate in the short-run while on the long-run, confirmed COVID-19 cases have negative but insignificant effect on exchange rate but the number of deaths have positively significant effect on exchange rate. Results of causality test showed that exchange rate and COVID-19pandemic did not have causal relationship.

Abstract: One of the ways of minimizing rural urban migration and subsequent population explosion in the urban centers is to create income earning opportunities in the rural areas. One of the valuable resources in Kenya is the Lake Victoria ecosystem which is predominantly rural. This research sought to determine existence of significant differences in mean income per household along the Lake Victoria ecosystem. The ecosystem was clustered in Counties with known administrative boundaries. These counties were Busia, Siaya, Kisumu, HomaBay and Migori. The sources of income that were identified included fishing, crop farming, livestock farming, sand harvesting, transport, tourism and trade. Three stages purposive sampling technique was used. Abstract: Speculative action in the form of withdrawal of the resources from economic circle is a behavioral phenomenon that have a significant negative effect on the macroeconomic variables and economic conditions. So, economic policy makers try to control that by instruments to steer the resources coming back to economic activities. Therefore, in this paper an attempt has been made to analyze the effects of a speculative behavior on macroeconomic variables in the form of a Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Model with the New Keynesian approach. In this regard, two model have been designed such that one of them is based on speculative action and tax of revenue on it, and the other is based form of New Keynesian DSGE model. The main assumption of this paper is superiority of base model against regulatory rules such as taxing. The results show that the DSGE base model has lower taxes cost, lower production gap and higher economy welfare with respect to the model based on regulatory rules.

Abstract: The aquatic product processing industry is one of the important factors and accounts for a large proportion of the industry of Tra Vinh province. The article describes the process of analyzing, assessing the current situation, identifying opportunities and challenges to propose some solutions to promote the development of the seafood processing industry in Tra Vinh province. The research process is based on statistics, synthesis, and analysis of primary and secondary survey data sets using excel spreadsheet. Research results show that it is necessary to expand the industrial scale, change production methods, product structure and expand the market. Abstract: Over the last few decades, Sub-Saharan African countries have implemented a number of trade reforms with the goal of increasing global openness and economic growth. Development economists and prominent multilateral institutions have recognized the positive contribution of international trade to economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa, and their studies show that African countries have a strong potential for further economic growth and income development if invested in promoting international trade, despite their strong position to supply raw materials to major trading countries worldwide. Abstract: The performance of public tasks by the voivodeship local government in Poland is determined by a number of factors including economic points. A decisive part of the revenues of the budgets of the local government voivodeships are target subsidies and subventions from the state budget These revenues play an important economic and social role in the financial management of the voivodeship local government. The aim of this article was to present the results of our own research into the impact of population changes in the local government voivodeships on the amount of financial transfers transferred - a targeted subsidy from the state budget. The time period of the research was 2004-2020. The results of the research show that in some voivodeships there is a strong relationship between changes in population and the amount of vertical redistribution instruments.

Abstract: The study analyses the influence of microfinancing, that is mostly run by private enterprises in India, under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).This aims to provide finance to the poor who do not have any collateral. An attempt has been made to study whether this model has made a significant difference with respect to increasing incomes of the poor. Despite a growing number of such institutions there has simultaneously been an increase in the amount of distress. The paper tries to analyse the reasons behind this tragedy. RESEARCH QUESTION: The paper would attempt to analyse the impact of micro finance banks as well as microfinance institutions in the generation of the saving potential of an emerging market economy like India. It would also look at the effect of increasing digitalisation on enhancing the savings in the economy.
