Abstract: Severity of Air Pollution in Pune City is growing rapidly due to urbanization, rapid growth of two and four wheelers and industrialization. Respirable Particulate Matter (RSPM) below 10 micron from Urban Transportation in the city is major concern and associating with lungs diseases especially in Infant babies, children and old age people. The present study was carried out at Katraj Chowk at Southern of Pune through out in the month of October 2015 to identify and determine the concentrations of RSPM as well as concentrations at every 100 m on downwind direction........

Abstract: The great use of electrical appliances in different life applications is one of the most obvious concerns because of its possible health drawbacks. The present paper is aimed to study the biological effects of exposure to extremely low frequency electric fields. Blood, as a main vital system to human life, was chosen to be the biomarker for the evaluation of the risk associating exposures to such fields.........

Abstract: Methylene blue is used in fish culture to treat fish with fungal infection.So the aim of the study was to assess the level at which it could be toxic on Oreochromis niloticus (Linnaeus 1757) juveniles treated with methylene blue, thus,laboratory determinations of lethal concentration (LC50)through a static bio-assay test were performed in order to determine its sub-lethal effects on the test fish. The experiment was conducted for 96 h using O.niloticus of an average weight of 6.00±2.40 g in twelve aquaria with ten (10) fish each with a control without methylene blue solution.........

Abstract: An investigation on the pollution state of ABA RIVER along its course at designated stations Up Stream ABA River ( USAR), Paterson Zochonis( PZ),Nigerian Breweries Limited (NBL),Abattoir (ABT) and Down Stream ABA River,( DSAR) stations were studied. Results obtained of some physico- chemical parameters revealed a mean pollution index of 2.3595 at the USAR,2.5065 at PZ,2.7518 at NBL,2.6212 at ABT and 2.6294 at DSAR respectively .For the stations studied it was found that the pollution indices exceeded the WHO set critical value of 1.0 for surface waters......
