Abstract: Black pepper (Piper nigrum L.) and clove (Eugenia caryophyllata) were treated with gamma radiationdoses (5.0, 10.0, 20 kGy)andstored for six months. The results showed an increase in the dry matter content of black pepper during the storage period withvalues of 91.61±2.36%, 92.59±2.39%, and 92.62±2.37 %w/w at 5.0, 10.0 and 20.0 kGy, respectively, compared with91.41±2.25%w/w for the non-irradiated sample. Also, there was an increase in the dry matter content ofcloves, withvalues of91.34±2.35%, 92.55±2.39%, and 92.87±2.37%w/wat 5.0, 10.0 and 20.0kGy, respectively, compared with a value of 91.34±2.35%w/w for the non-irradiated sample..........

Abstract: Mass rum growth of industries as well as mining operation has accelerated in Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts after the year 2000 due to construction of better super highway between Sambalpur and Rourkela. The unchecked pollution caused by the growing industries in the area deteriorated the air quality to an extreme stage. The SPM, SO2, NOX exceeded the permissible standard throughout the year. The pollutants not only affected human beings, but also plants and growing crops. Hence immediate remedial measures should be initiated right now to save the lifeline of the study area

Abstract: Praecitrullus fistulosus (cucurbitaceae) also called Indian round gourd or tinda is a squash-like cucurbit. Abstract: Osmosis is a physical phenomenon in which solvent molecules move through a semipermeable membrane from a dilute solution towards more concentrated solution . Initially, the mechanism of osmosis through natural materials was studied but now a days scientists have given special attention to osmosis via synthetic materials. Osmosis, or as it is currently referred to as Forward Osmosis (FO), has new applications in separation processes for wastewater treatment and seawater/brackish water desalination. Reverse Osmosis (RO), a process by which a solvent passes through a porous membrane in the direction opposite to that for natural osmosis when subjected to a hydrostatic pressure greater than the osmotic pressure. is currently the most important desalination technology and it is experiencing significant growth.

Abstract: The assurance of the protection for the delivered drinking water against the secondary pathogenic increases in the distribution network will become a prime importance target for water treatment plants. In the waterworks there are used the multi barrier concept, and each treatment step will have to be optimized to obtain a maximum reduction of the compounds which are a health hazard to consumers. The optimization of the coagulation flocculation process in order to obtain an advanced reducing of suspensions, organic substances and microbiological constituents has a positive effect on the other technological phases such as decantation, filtration, disinfection, ensuring the risk reduction of bacterial growth in the distribution network

Abstract: The contents of Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, and Zn in fifteen fruiting bodies Lentinus squarrusulus were determined using AAS. The results showed the values of the studied elements decreased in the order: Zn (63.4-67.6 mg kg -1)>Cd (15.1-18.7mg kg -1)>Mn (2.60-4.21 mg kg -1) > Mg (1.57-2.98mg kg 1),> Pb (1.21-1.42 mg kg 1)> Fe (0.40-0.98mg kg -1) >Cu (0.25-0.86 mg kg -1) >Ni (0.23-0.76mg kg -1) >Mo (0.10-0.24 mg kg -1)> Cr (0.08-0.16 mg kg -1)

Abstract: The municipal solid waste (MSW) generation in the Pune city Municipal Corporation (PMC) is among the highest as compare with other mega cities in the India with average 0.400 kg (ranges from the 0.294 to 0.540 kg) of waste being generated per person per day. The present study aims to find the pollution of ground water at Urali-Devachi disposal site of Pune Municipal Corporation (Civic body). Abstract: A Bulk Petroleum Terminal in the Middle East (the Terminal) is located on the coast of the Red Sea. The site is bordered by a Government-Controlled building to the northwest, the Red Sea to the south and west, and vacant land to the southeast. A total of 20 large capacity above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) ranging in size between 75,000 barrels (bbls) (3,150,000 gallons) to 100,000 bbls (4,2000,000 gallons) are situated on the site, which include 12 ASTs containing diesel, four containing 95-octane gasoline, and four containing 91-octane gasoline. The Terminal went into operation in the 1980s and continues storing petroleum-based products through present day.

Abstract: The aim of this article is assess the influence of environmental factors (especially edaphic) on the level of some physiological characteristics of plant communities in Taba Protected Area (Taba PA), South Sinai region. Abstract: A simplified analytical model has been developed to investigate the potential of using the stored thermal energy of ground for space cooling with the help of an earth to air heat exchanger (EAHE) system integrated with the greenhouse located in the premises of Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana. The analysis was based on quasi-steady state condition. Experiments were conducted extensively during summer period from April to October, but the model, developed, was validated against the clear and sunny days. Abstract: A research innovation on product development through principle of applied biotechnology was demonstrated for production of ethanol bio gel, an alternative cooking energy source. Bio ethanol was produced using pretreated sawdust as substrate by solid state fermentation technique using Aspergillus niger.
