Abstract: Interaction of lasers with biomaterials such as blood, skin, and tissues is an important area of research. Laser tissue interactions can be understood by using spectroscopic and advanced microscopic techniques such as scanning electron microscope (SEM). In the present, work blood samples were collected from normal human subjects under standard laboratory conditions. Blood samples were irradiated by He-Ne laser (Wavelength λ = 632.8 nm, Power P = 3mW). The FTIR spectra for non-irradiated normal blood samples are compared with the FTIR spectra of irradiated blood samples. Significant changes are observed between the various bonds from the FTIR transmission spectra between C=O (Amide I), C-O (Anhydrides), N=O (Nitro), C-N (Amines) and C-H (Alkenes).............

Abstract: Coronary aneurysm is an uncommon variant of coronary atherosclerosis. It usually involves the right coronary artery and is often associated with significant coronary stenosis. It may be revealed by an acute coronary syndrome(ACS). We report the case of a 47 year-old man in whom a large coronary aneurysm of the left anterior coronary artery was revealed by an ACS. Through this observation we will discuss the peculiarities of aneurysmal coronary disease.

Abstract: With improvement in economic and living conditions of the communities, the age of acquiring hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection is shifting from early childhood to adolescence and young adulthood. Such epidemiological shift leads to an increased incidence of symptomatic HAV infection, including heightened risk of liver failure. The present study was conducted in Diayala province for the period from 15 / 10 / 2017 to 10 / 4 / 2018. It included; 80 children patients were attended Al-Batool Hospital. 19 of patients were males and 61 were females. The age range was 1 years to 5 years. The study aimed to determining the rate of HAV-specific IgM antibodies in children aged from1 to 5 years. Serum specimens were collected for each children. Detection of HAV-specific IgM was done by Enzyme Rapid test. The results of the present study showed that the 9 children (11.25%) were anti-HAV IgM positive.........

Abstract: Administration of Madhuca longifolia Methanolic Extract (MLME) and derivative of Madhucic Acid (dMA) a bioactive from it leaves and standard drug silymarin in rats showed significant hepatoprotective action against CCl4 induced hepatotoxicity. Elevated serum markers enzymes of SGOT, SGPT, ALP and serum bilirubin were found to be significantly reduced to near normal levels on treatment of rats with MLME and dMA treated rats. MLME (50 mg/kg) and dMA (5 mg/kg) decreased the cholesterol level and increased TG level. In vitro hepatoprotective activity of the MLME and dMA was evaluated at 50 and 5 μg/ml concentrations against CCl4 (1 %) induced toxicity in freshly isolated rat hepatocytes. The combination of silymarin with MLME and dMA showed better hepatoprotective activity when compared with the standard..

Abstract: Crude ethanolic extract of Celastrus paniculans L. seeds was administered to adult male albino rats for the evaluation of its antifertility effect. Aqueous solution of the extract, when administered orally for 45 days to cover the major portion of spermatogenesis at a dose level of 250 mg/kg body weight by oral route caused significant inhibition of spermatogenesis. There was a significant decrease in essential as well as accessory reproductive organs weight (p<0.05). Decrease in cauda epididymal sperm count and motility was noted. Cytoplasmic droplets in the mid-piece of sperms were seen, which is a sign of arrival of immature spermatozoa in cauda epididymis region. Testicular...........
