Abstract: Background: In a knowledge-based economy, developing the skills of employees is an essential part of an organization's competitiveness. Therefore, it is imperative that organizations take appropriate measures to retain efficient and effective employees. The paper examines the impact of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on employee retention in the Tamale metropolis in the Northern Region of Ghana.
Materials and Methods: We retrieved and analyzed valid data from 60 healthcare workers solicited using a self-administered structured questionnaire at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) in the Tamale Metropolis. The results of our analysis were tabulated in the form of frequencies and percentages since our data was categorical.......
