Abstract: Objective: This study aimed to compare the efficacy of tramadol and butorphanol as premedications in reducing pain associated with propofol injection during anesthesia induction. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted involving 50 patients undergoing surgical procedure under anesthesia. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either tramadol 50 mg (Group T) or butorphanol 2 mg (Group B) as a premedication. Pain on propofol injection was assessed using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) immediately after injection. Incidence and severity of pain were recorded. Hemodynamic parameters, including systolic blood pressure (SBP) and.......

Abstract: Background : Denture base fracture often occurs in edentulous conditions accompanied by enlargement of the torus palatinus and flat alveolar ridges. Therefore, reinforcement materials are needed. The most commonly used reinforcing material is metal. However, this material has some disadvantages, such as weight and poor biocompatibility. Currently, an alternative material that can be used to replace metal is polyetheretherketone (PEEK) which has several advantages, such as lower density and better biocompatibility than metal. Objectives : Describe the use of PEEK as a denture base reinforce material to prevent fracture and reduce the weight of maxillary dentures.....

Abstract: Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a movement disorder that causes involuntary, repetitive body movements and is commonly seen in patients who are on long-term treatment with antipsychotic medications. However, several other classes of medications with different mechanisms are also associated with TD [1] Case: We present a case report of 59 year old male who presented to us with involuntary movements of bilateral upper limb and mouth from the last 1 year. History revealed that the patient was on tablet cinitapride from the last 2 years. Examination revealed involuntary oro-lingual movements and upper limb movements (right more than left). To the best of our knowlwdge, this is one rare case scenario of drug induced dyskinesia been ever reported for the drug cinitapride.....

Abstract: Background: Management of airway in oral and maxillofacial surgery is challenging as both anaesthesiologists and surgeons have to work in the same area. Both specialists require adequate knowledge, skill and collaboration to ensure the safety of the patient during intraoperative as well as postoperative period and to decrease associated morbidity and mortality. Maxillofacial injuries and fractures are almost always related to moderate to severe accidents because of their prominent anatomical placement. Objectives: The aim of this study.....

Abstract: Root canal sealers made of bioceramics are regarded as a beneficial advent to endodontics. In comparison to traditional root canal sealers, bioceramic-based root canal sealers have a higher potential for bioactivity. In addition to potential mutagenicity, cytotoxicity, inflammatory response, and hydrophobicity, sealers that are currently in widespread use have many drawbacks. Because of their physical and biological characteristics, bioceramic-based sealers containing calcium silicate and calcium phosphate are attracting a lot of attention. An in-depth analysis of specific bioceramic sealers currently in use and an examination of their characteristics are the main goals of this review.

Abstract: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in the world and the second leading cause of mortality. Patient s diagnosed with breast cancer are staged as per AJCC 8th edition and are classified based on different subtypes based on the hormonal, Her2 neu and Ki67 receptor status, they are classified as Luminal A, B, Her 2 neu enriched and TNBC, The response of patients to neoadjuvant chemotherapy varies depending upon the subtype. Here we discuss about the response of patients based on response to neo adjuvant chemotherapy vase dob the subtype. The current study undertaken in the department of medical oncology of our department to see the response of Neoadjuvant chemotherapy to various subtypes of carcinoma breast

Abstract: Introduction: India has the highest burden of tuberculosis in the world and remains a significant public health issue. Nonadherence to anti tuberculosis treatment adversely effect the treatment success rate thereby increasing mortality, drug resistance and spread of the disease. Therefore, it is important to identify the reasons which contribute to nonadherence. Methods and Materials: This is a prospective observational study conducted at Government General Hospital, Vijayawada. A total of 1018 sputum smear positive newly.....

Abstract: Partially edentulous arch can be replaced by various treatment options including removable as well as fixed prosthesis. The preferred choice for replacement of missing tooth in a tooth bound edentulous area can be either tooth supported or implant supported .With the vision of preservation of what remains , an implant supported prosthesis is always a better option. Thus this case report presents the replacement of mandibular first molar by an implant supported screw retained prosthesis.

Abstract: The development of oral cancer is a multistep process that needs the buildup of multiple genetic alterations, usually preceded by detectable mucosal changes, most frequently leukoplakia and erythroplakia. The World Health Organization has identified preven tion and early detection as key goals in the global fight against oral cancer. Oral cancer screening and early detection and its pre invasive intra epithelial phases are still largely focused on visual inspection of the mouth. But unfortunately, simple vis.......

Abstract: Background: Teeth are durable and morphologically unique structures of the human body. Root dentin translucency shows significant changes with the advancing of age. Method: The present study involves measurement of root dentin translucency in ground sections of 30 collected teeth samples from Kolkata. The ages of the individuals are known to the first investigator and hidden from the second investigator who measured the root translucency and calculated the age using Lamendin's formula. Lamendin had proposed a technique to estimate the age at death by two factors: Periodontosis height and translucency of the root of the tooth. After measuring the translucency and periodontosis height, the calculated ages were compared with the actual ages.......
