Abstract: Aim: This study aimed to assess how the push out bond strength of a bioceramic sealer (Meta CeraSeal) is affected by three different chelating agents: 17% EDTA, 7% Maleic acid, and 5% Pentetic acid. Methodology: 60 mandibular premolars were shaped using Pro Taper Gold rotary file upto size F2. The canals were irrigated with 2ml of 5.25% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) between instrumentation and then the NaOCl was removed by rinsing with five milliliters of distilled water.. The 60 specimens were divided into 4 groups of 15 each, in a random.......

Abstract: Introduction: Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a significant abdominal emergency characterized by inflammation of the pancreas, primarily due to autodigestion by pancreatic enzymes. Early severity assessment is crucial for management, as severe cases lead to complications and mortality. While various scoring systems exist, the Bedside Index for Severity in Acute Pancreatitis (BISAP) and APACHE-II (Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation) scores are commonly used, each with unique advantages and limitations in severity prediction......

Abstract: Aims: The aim of this randomized clinical trial was to evaluate and compare the clinical efficacy of diode laser using with topical Potassium nitrate (KNO3) gel and Iontophoresis with NaF gel in the treatment of dentinal Hypersensitivity. Methods and Material: 20 systemically healthy patients with Dentinal Hypersensitivity were enrolled in the randomized clinical trial. The patients with dentinal hypersensitivity were randomly allocated into 2 groups: Group I was treated with diode laser and KNO3 gel; Group II with Iontophoresis unit. Sensitivity was recorded using the verbal rating scale before treatment, 10 min after treatment and 7, 15 and 21 days post therapy. Statistical analysis used:....

Abstract: Introduction: The Prothrombin Index (PI) is a critical measure of coagulation status, reflecting the liver's ability to synthesize clotting factors. In the context of liver resection, a procedure associated with a significant risk of bleeding and other complications, the assessment of PI becomes paramount. This study investigates the association between serum Prothrombin Index and early postoperative complications following liver resection.
Methods: This Prospective observational study was conducted among the indoor patients of the Hepatobiliary unit of the surgery department......

Abstract: Introduction: Pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD), commonly known as the Whipple procedure, is the standard surgical approach for treating pancreatic and periampullary cancers. Despite advancements in surgical techniques, postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) remains one of the most significant complications following PD, contributing to increased morbidity. This study aims to evaluate the development and severity of POPF in patients undergoing PD with the Modified Blumgart Pancreaticojejunostomy........

Abstract: Introduction: Peritoneal carcinomatosis is a recurrence pattern in gastric cancer, commonly complicating the postoperative course, especially in high-risk individuals. These complications adversely affect quality of life, increase mortality, and have immediate postoperative clinical implications. Surgery is the best treatment for early-stage tumors, despite its associated risks, including mortality. Aim: To evaluate the impact of postoperative complications on the clinical outcomes of patients undergoing peritoneal cancer surgery......

Abstract: Background: Maxillofacial trauma is routinely evaluated on the basis of high and low velocity injuries, types of fractures in the literature. On the other hand, we have evaluated them on the basis of timing of surgery after trauma and their outcomes. In India RTA (Road traffic accidents) scenario is quite different from other countries. The highway traffic consists of a variety of vehicles from a cyclist, a two-wheeler, a four-wheeler to a heavy loaded truck. Animals like cows and dogs frequent the highways. Hence, we have classified the patients based on Single.....
