Title | : | An Optimized Study on Chinese and American Flipped Classroom Mode: from the Cultural Perspective |
Country | : | China |
Authors | : | WEI Li || LIU Chengcheng |
Abstract: The Flipped classroom mode is the most popular teaching mode at the moment in western courtiers, in particular, in America. With the introduction of FCM into Chinese educational realm, the Chinese experts and teachers began to make tentative research into this new teaching mode. The paper is one of these tentative explorations, which firstly reviews the developing FCM and makes comparative study between American and Chinese FCM from cultural perspective. American culture belongs to western culture, while Chinese culture is typical oriental culture, so they must exhibit many different and even contradictory cultural characteristics.......

Authors | : | Eko Sulistiono || Mustofa Kamil || Ahmad hufad |
Abstract: The divorce rate in Indonesia from time to time is alwah high. This results in the increasing number of children that are raised by single parents (widows or widowers). On the other hand, some facts reveal that children raised by single parents tend to have problematic issue with their surroundings in social life. Meanwhile studies on the responsibility of single parents in fostering children are immensely limited. Therefore this study aims to identify and analyze the responsibilities of the single parents in fostering their children, in order to construct a better and more optimal parenting by single parents.......

Title | : | Globalization and Educational Reforms |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | RAVIT AMAR/AMIR |
Abstract: Many share the knowledge that the decrease in education endangers the future of Israel. The argument is about the solutions and ways to improve the quality of education of wide groups in the population. In the meantime, we are swamped with suggestions for reforms involving the crème de la crème from the business sector who think that it is possible to turn the school into a well-managed business firm and therefore to achieve a better high quality education. It is important to understand that these offers do not operate in a void. They are motivated by economic interests of the business sector............

Authors | : | Pratibha Kannaujia || Prof. S.B. Bhattacharya |
Abstract: This paper deals with the reliability and validity of revised Bhattacharya's Achievement Motivation Inventory (BAMI). Original BAMI was prepared by Vijay Kumar Rai and S.B. Bhattacharya (Rai, 1989) to measure the achievement motivation of the students. This tool is available in two forms: Form 'A' and Form 'B'. BAMI measures 11 dimensions of Achievement Motivation with 40 items in Form 'A'. Only Form A has been considered for this study. On the basis of the instructions from the test constructors (Rai & Bhattacharya) some modifications were done and eight items were added for retry-out..........

Title | : | Cultivation and Practice of College Students' Mechanical Innovative Ability by Combining Virtuality with Reality |
Country | : | China |
Authors | : | Yi Shen || Mingqiang Wang || Qunbiao Wu || Mingxin Yuan |
Abstract: Cultivating college students' mechanical innovation ability is urgent requirements for mechanical engineering education in today's society. In this paper, we put forward improving the students' ability of knowledge application and mechanical innovation design through virtual assembly technology based on institutional innovation in the comprehensive practice teaching. The practice results of teaching reform show that the teaching based on virtual simulation and assembly technology of engineering helps students apply what they have learned, stimulate their interest in learning, and cultivate their mechanical innovation design ability, which verifies the validity of the teaching reform

Title | : | Developing Cultural Competence to Enact a Culturally Inclusive, Learner-Centered Practice to Promote Learning and Justice IndiverseU.S. Urban Schools |
Country | : | United States of America |
Authors | : | Nancy M. Cardwell, Ph.D. |
Abstract: Children in diverse urban schools are struggling socially and academically due to a range of unmet social, emotional and academic needs (Greene, 2014). In a small qualitative research study, participants' interpretations of a vignette showed some evidence of using child development but were silent about possible racial, cultural and linguistic dimensions of the interaction. This suggests the need for teacher preparation programs to consistently, explicitly and rigorously attend to the interaction of identity and learning for children in US urban schools to supportteacher candidates' abilityto develop culturally inclusive, learner-centered, identity-safe classroom practices (Steele & Cohn-Vargas, 2013).

Authors | : | Igwe, Victoria Oyiboka (Mrs) || Ewelum, Johnson Nnadi (Ph.D) |
Abstract: Adult education is a versatile area of study that needs to be strengthened with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment. This is so because adult education touches all aspects of human endeavours that demand the use of technological equipment. The integration of ICT equipment in adult education will engender positive development in actualizing societal goals and associating with the terrain of computer age. This paper, therefore, examined the benefits, limitations, challenges and prospects of integrating ICT in adult education. The paper also came up with way forward and drawn conclusion

Abstract: In this paper, we report the construction of an application to aid in the understanding of an important content studied in organic chemistry disciplines, in higher education. We carried out a connection between the cognitive sciences and Peirce's semiotics, as a way to make inferences about the processes of appropriation of students, especially about the representations on the symbolic level that can be directly related to daily events.............
