Abstract: A teacher is the main actor in the learning process. The main success factor of education process is in the teacher's hand. A good classroom management will influence the learning result. The fact that many teachers who have not possessed good classroom management cause less optimum learning achievement. Gunung Kidul is one of regencies located in Special Region of Yogyakarta. Gunung Kidul was selected as the assistance area because it is the most underdeveloped region of other regions in Special Region of Yogyakarta in the aspects of economy and education..........

Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Jauhara Dian Nurul Iffah || Akbar Sutawidjaja || Cholis Sa'dijah || Subanji |
Abstract: A good teaching process is to make students active and be independently. Teachers have a lot of efforts to meet the process. Their promoted action should leads the students to get new things. It is sometimes, however, rejected by the students. Using Valsiner's theory, zone of promoted action (ZPA), we described which condition the students rejected teacher's promote action. This study used a novice teacher as the subject with high, moderate, and lower intelligent students response..........

Abstract: The objective of this study was to analyse characteristic of students' metacognition process in solving mathematics problem. The process of the student metacognition analysed to describe its character is through the happening of awareness, evaluation, and regulation as metacognitin components. To describe the characteristic, researcher has determined the indicator of each component. And specially, the indicator is described into descriptor to explain the characteristic of metacognition process...........

Country | : | USA |
Authors | : | Minsu Kim, Ph.D. |
Abstract: Higher institutions in the U.S. have focused on transforming remedial education because of increasing the number of remedial students and low success rates of traditional pre-requisite remedial designs. Co-requisite remedial models have been considered asan alternative model. The aims of this study are to examine student achievement and mathematics self-efficacy, to explore student learning and perspectives on Co-requisite remedial models, and to find the relationships betweenstudentmathematics.........

Title | : | The use of LMS to support PBL practices: A systematic review |
Country | : | Brazil |
Authors | : | Giovanni Ferreira de Farias || Fernando José Spanhol || Marcio Vieira de Souza |
Abstract: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a constructivist teaching methodology, created in the late sixties, with an active learning process performed by the student to solve a proposed problem, meticulously specified to provide acquisition of knowledge by discovery. This article proposes a systematic literature review of publications on the subject, which involve the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for implementing networked PBL, i.e. PBL procedures over the Internet.........

Abstract: We have simply constructed a plasma jet that can work in the frequency range (10-40) kHz and within the range of (0-10) kV of applied. High voltage probes are used in order to obtain current and voltage waveforms. In this paper, we will show VRMS-IMRS plasma jet characteristics for the working frequency of 30 kHz. Current and voltage measurements were made both for the increase and decrease of the applied voltage in order to see if there is a hysteresis effect.

Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Herna || Toto Nusantara || Subanji || Sri Mulyati |
Abstract: This qualitative study was carried out in the seventh semester students of the Sulawesi Barat University, Majene, Indonesia. The goal is to assess the characteristics that arise when true pseudo construction in understanding concept of limit function. The results showed that in the process of understanding concept of limit function, there are five characteristics of true pseudo construction. These characteristics are disconnection, construction pit, non-holistic representation, partial miss-thinking and logical thinking.
