Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | I Wayan Sukarjita || Vinsensius Lantik || Amiruddin Supu |
Abstract: In this article the authors introduce a learning model which is designed to introduce the environmental attitude instilled early to generations. This learning model can be used as an alternative learning for Environmental Education (EE) is performed on the integrative science subjects. This model is named MOTORIC which stands for Motivation, Observation, Talking, Orientation, Reinforcement, Implementation and Confirmation that shows seven components in the learning process MOTORIC models. The learning model is based on the three approach are character, contextual and multimedia approach. The application of the MOTORIC model is implemented with a sample of class VII students of junior high school 13 Kupang Indonesia.

Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Arjudin || Akbar Sutawidjaja || Edy Bambang Irawan || Cholis Sa‟dijah |
Abstract: This research aims to determine the types of mathematical connection errors when undergraduate students solve mathematics problems about derivative, and describe the characteristics of each type of the errors. The style of this research is descriptive exploratory, as an initial observation for disertation. Its subjects were 12 undergraduate students of Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram, at Second Semester in Academic Year 2014/2015. Data of research collected through the assignment sheet of mathematics problem solving about derivative of absolute value function and followed up by interview based problem solving tasks.
Keywords: characterization, derivative problems, error, mathematical connection

Title | : | The Effects of The Teaching Methods Used on The Cognitive Learning Achievements among The Students in Rwandan Universities |
Country | : | Tanzania |
Authors | : | Hesbon Opiyo Andala || Michael Ng‟umbi, PhD || Professor Elinami V. Swai |
Abstract: The level of cognitive abilities could be used to detect the extent of elimination of language barriers among the students. The learning environment that allows student choice and provides an opportunity for sharing is critical for enhancement of situational interest and understanding. Teachers should always strive to control the situational interest by manipulating the learning environment, modifying the teaching methods and improving the teaching strategies. The research was an experimental design done with MBA business statistics students and a sample size of 242 students. The teaching methods of group discussions and interactive lecture were the treatment while traditional lecture was the control. The data on students‟ cognitive achievements was collected and analyzed using descriptive statistics

Title | : | Professional Attitudes of Secondary School Teachers, Elina Soibamcha, Research Scholar, |

Authors | : | Prof. Nityanand Pandey |
Abstract: This paper aimed at testing two null hypotheses that (1) there exists no significant difference in professional attitudes between male and female teachers, and (2) Teaching experience is not a contributing variable of the difference in professional attitudes among the teachers. Altogether 150 teachers, 75 males and 75 females, working in secondary school located at Imphal West District of Manipur (India) were involved in the study. The data were collected through the Teacher Attitude Inventory (TAI) developed by Ahluwalia (2006). The results indicated that no significant sex difference in professional attitudes was noted, as the p-value was 0.075 and that teaching experience had nothing to do with favourable or unfavourable attitudes towards teaching profession (p-value =0.872).

Title | : | Q-methodology: What and how? |
Country | : | |
Authors | : | Lina Saeed Bashatah |
Abstract: In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), little is known about new methods for determining viewpoints about issues. Researchers continue using interviews for qualitative research and questionnaires for quantitative research. This paper explains how Q-methodology was used with educational researchers in order to determine the viewpoints of Saudi participants in KSA regarding a specific subject. As Q-methodology represents a new methodology for many research participants in KSA, I provide an introduction to this methodology that is based on my experience as a Saudi researcher who has used Q-methodology to capture her study participants' perspectives.

Title | : | Analysis of False-Semantic Proof Production in Undergraduate Mathematics Learning Based on APOS Theory |
Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Syamsuri |
Abstract: Mathematical proof is a series of rules set based on the logic and deductive to show that the statement is true. In proof constructing, Weber offered two ways, namely : semantic proof production and syntactic proof production. Semantic proof is a construction of proof that uses examples, diagrams or other mathematical objects to help draw up a formal proof. In this study, we emphasize on using of incorrect example or diagram in preparation of proof, so-called false-semantic. Characteristics of student's thinking process in false-semantic proof construction are required to know the appropriate treatment can be determined. Research conducted on students of Mathematics..........
