Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Akhabue, D.A. || Ejere, O.D |
Abstract: Corruption is not a recent or modern phenomenon, although, it has assumed a frightening dimension in recent times. It has existed from time immemorial. Thus, with respect to the appointment of judges in the Israel of old, the Holy Bible states thus: "Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town your Lord God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly. Do not pervert the course of justice or show partially. Do not accept bribe for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twist the words of the righteous.............

Abstract: The precision teaching is originated from America in the 1960s, applying operant conditioning reflex into human learning and then educational problems. With the rapid development of computer science and information technology, precision teaching attains to its new level of study. The paper firstly elaborates the theoretical analysis of precision teaching from the concept, features and comparison with direct instruction. And then it explores the practice of college English precision teaching which includes two steps: step 1, precision pre-learning through micro lectures and data collection of pre-learning effects supported by information technology; step 2, precision classroom teaching plan and practice according to precision analysis and orientation. Title | : | The Challenge of Minimum Standards and Quality Control of Primary Education in Nigeria |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Dr. Maria E. Afangideh || Dr. Wisdom Inibehe Jude |
Abstract: The debate on standard and quality of education is as old as organized education itself, the world over. For the past four decades or thereabout, Nigerian academics and laymen alike have been challenging themselves with the debate on falling standard of education; especially at the primary school, which is the foundation for all levels of education. It is quite understandable, given the growing importance of trans-border educational provisions in the wake of globalization of education. In Nigeria, anxieties in education are stirred by the combined effects of population explosion in the classrooms at all levels, deteriorating physical facilities, continued inadequacy in funding; recurrent industrial actions by all sectors that invariably lead to truncated academic calendar. It is therefore, the concern of this paper to examine the quality of primary education in the last four decades and compare with the quality and minimum standards of it today; with a view to suggesting remedies where gaps exist.

Country | : | |
Authors | : | Ali, Sunni |
Abstract: Teaching students about race and racism is so multi-faceted and complex, yet it remains the most pivotal conversation and lesson to have with young people to empower them. One of the effective ways Americans can attempt to unravel and transform this complex legacy is to make it a part of a school's curriculum. Allowing race and racism to remain a hidden-aspect of a school's curriculum reinforces its trivialization and dysfunction...............
